I think I may have talked him out of it to an extent, but only so much.

He should likely figure out how to fix his own problems with that before sticking his head into everyone else's.

Yes, I'd gotten that impression myself. It's a little concerning, but really none of my business.

I try not to think badly of anyone who could theoretically be an in-law. Bad practice in the long run.
