♚ on the next episode of Hoarders

[ Today Saber is in a great mood. After all, she has a duel to look forward to on the morrow. Yet, that isn't what really makes her happy. What does?

Well, besides food, cute things, her cubs, and Shirou... it's being able to walk through her current place of residency without tripping on items. In fact, this accidental video shows her waving off a truck with 'SALVATION ARMY, YOUR DONATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED' painted across it.

Yup.

She did just do that, Gilgamesh. She issued a warning time and time again about his clutter. Do you have enough mad? Realizing quickly that her phone was accidentally recording, she lifts it to give a gentle smile. ]

My apologies for rudely interrupting your day. I must have bumped this device on while I was volunteering. I have a question that I am hoping someone might be able to answer. What does it mean when something is tax exempt?

Man, I don't really remember. So taxable income is basically 'you've got money, let's have the government take some of that money so it can provide you services', right? If you spend it on something tax exempt, then you don't pay taxes on that little bit of your money. I think.

I hate paying taxes at home. So boring and complicated.

In general, it's exactly what it sounds like. Under some systems, certain exemptions may be claimed by individuals to reduce taxable income, though qualifications for what can be claimed vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. If I recall correctly, property given for use by a charitable or non-profit organization can be tax exempt.

Oh, we had taxes back then too. I even passed a handful myself. I've been checking the way governments work in this time, and I must say, while some areas have been treated poorly, they had certainly been busy with taxation. So I guess you would like to know more about tax exemption, right? I think you will find my regards on the information provided to be more than sufficient.

Various tax systems grant a tax exemption to certain organizations, persons, income, property or other items taxable under the system. Tax exemption may also refer to a personal allowance or specific monetary exemption which may be claimed by an individual to reduce taxable income under some systems. Tax exempt status may provide a potential taxpayer complete relief from tax, tax at a reduced rate, or tax on only a portion of the items subject to tax. So it's basically all about making the taxes either decrease or disappear altogether depending on who is the consumer.

Examples include exemption of charitable organizations from property taxes and income taxes, exemptions provided to veterans, and exemptions under cross-border or multi-jurisdictional principles. Tax exemption generally refers to a statutory exception to a general rule rather than the mere absence of taxation in particular circumstances; an exclusion, if you want to see it that way. Tax exemption also generally refers to removal from taxation of a particular item or class rather than a reduction of taxable items by way of deduction of other items, in other words, a deduction. Tax exemptions may theoretically be granted at any governmental level that imposes taxation, though in some broader systems restraints are imposed on such exemptions by lower tier governmental units.

Would you perhaps like a more in-detail explanation?

[ You know, he knew he shouldn't have left the condo today. But something compelled him to spend a little time in the stupid casino. It's not like he actually needed money at this point, but a little pocket change never hurt anyone. He was just taking a break when... that video.

That... she.... why.... So many emotions arising at once. Hate. Fear. Greed. Shock. Horror. Denial. No. This did not just happen.

Deep breaths, Gil. Dee--- oh fuck it.]
