I should mention, in case anyone met her - Caster, the fiancee of my brother, is no longer among us. Her phone number no longer works, so it isn't temporary death, but disappearance.

I should also mention, in case someone sees me with it and has a heart attack - I have a sword and I don't really know how to use it.

The Grail does sometimes choose people who have no aptitude for it. Ironically, the Caster in my time had a Master on the same level - only, I believe, far less informed.

Far from it; teaching is a noble profession. The passing of knowledge from one to another is a time-honored tradition that helps everyone to grow and benefit. I'm a teacher myself.

But I meant more the lack of magical aptitude. Not that it means much in most regards.

All of the great magical families spawned from origins of the like; people who simply passed on their lesser levels of magic to the next generation and thus amplified it. Each generation is stronger and more capable by the passing of knowledge and power. That is the way of things.

However, Caster's master... I doubt he would have survived that long. He entered a war with no knowledge of it and spent much of his time kidnaping and murdering children. There is no way that would be permitted. We were trying to destroy them both when I came here.

I did not. Thank you for the warning. [Her voice is still rather curt; she remembers what Issei did to her.]

You should be careful also. If children start to go missing... do warn us.

Hm... perhaps you are more fitting to be a monk than I thought.

You are ungentlemanly at best. Monks are meant to be rather more serene and non-judgemental, after all.

However, it does seem your heart is at least in the right place.

[If only your mouth was.]

[small>It was the truth, as far as she was concerned.]

You can expect little more on that from one such as I. Complimenting those who insult me is not my style.

Hoho, is that your way of asking me to praise you, child?

Hmhm... I see. Well, don't worry. I'm sure that possibility will never arise...

So far, I'm not seeing much worth admiring.

Well, you'll figure things out once you become an adult.
