Unit 1 - Video

[The video clicks on, showing a black haired man with a very mild look of bewilderment on his face. Not as much as one might expect from a total newbie, but by this point he's a tad used to waking up in strange places. Thanks Dad. Though really, this doesn't look like what he expected the afterlife to be. He really doesn't feel dead though so he's guessing he's alive.]

Oh so that button is the same...[Oh. Right. Broadcasting. He clears his throat]

I suppose I should go out on a limb and assume that this was not where I was supposed to end up. For one thing, I've been to most of the planets that like to emulate Lost Jerusalem and this does not look at all familiar. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what is going on here? Or at least where this place is? I have to admit I am a little lost.

Yes. Isn't it incredible? The technology here is so primitive, but it still allows us to communicate, at least.

That's true. I was very overwhelmed when I first arrived as well, so you should rest. I'm doing fine, now that I'm settled in! It's been a few weeks for me.

I'm glad to hear that. I know Jr's here, he hasn't done anything too rash lately? I'd hate to know he'd been running wild.

I was just about to tell you that Jr. is here! I'm so happy you've already spoken with him! I know he must be overjoyed that you're here, now!

He came to get me as soon as I arrived here! He helped show me around and explained everything to me. I don't know what I would have done if he wasn't here...

Oh, but, Gaignun... umm... [And she suddenly looks very sad.] Albedo is here, too. So... be careful.

He did seem rather happy. I believe however it is going to take a while for it to sink in for him. I'm glad he could help you however, he's someone good to have at your back in strange situations.

[There is a pause, and a sigh] As for Albedo, don't worry about that. I'll be fine.

Jr. has always helped me. I don't know where I'd be without him.

I thought maybe, after what happened, that Albedo would be... different... but he said he doesn't want to be friends, so... [She sounds incredibly dejected and hurt.] So please, be careful...

[Aww Momo...you're too forgiving for your own good sometimes.]

MOMO, don't let what he says get you down too much. You don't have to be friends with him just because you're close to Jr.

[Ok so he's taking a bit of a wild shot, but he thinks he knows her well enough to try this. Frankly he's a bit surprised that she'd even try considering every time they meet Albedo practically mind violates her in some fashion.]

I know! I want to. I thought, maybe... maybe he'd be scared, being in a strange place like this. I know I was, at least until Jr. found me. But he said he doesn't care if he's all alone, and that's... so sad...

[If Gaignun was any less discreet, there would have been a snort of 'suuuuure, and he hates Jr.' However he'll hold Albedo's secret for now.]

I'm sure he is unsettled, but pushing him is not going to help. He's...complicated.

Yes, you're right... I guess I'll just leave him alone for now...

Oh, but Jr. is here, so he'll be okay! And Allen is here, too!

Yes, I spoke to Mr. Ridgeley earlier. I wonder if anymore of the people from our place will show up, or if you'll be able to go home soon. I don't imagine this place would be good for anyone's health in the long run.

I can count on your help in keeping Jr from causing too much property damage, right?

I don't know... I just hope mommy and Ziggy are doing okay. I'm happy that Jr. is here, and you and Allen now, but... I miss them.

{she giggles lightly. Good job cheering her up, Gaignun.] Yes, of course! I'll do my best!

Your mother and Ziggy will be fine, I'm sure you'll be home soon to see them. [Ah, mission accomplished. A happy MOMO is best MOMO. It's so distressing to see her sad.]

Yes, but back home I had Mary and Shelly keeping an eye on him too. Understanding or no, he has a lot of energy.

[He's not going to mention that things between him and Jr may be a bit awkward until they can settle back into a new routine.]

I think it's wonderful! I really admire him.

[She blushes ever so slightly and looks away from the camera.] But I'll try to keep him out of trouble.

Thank you MOMO. He actually listens to you so it shouldn't be too hard. [and Jr wonders why people tease him about his 'involvement' with MOMO. They both really make it too easy.]

He does? Really? But... he listens to you too, doesn't he?

If I had a coin for every time he went off after I told him not to do something, I would have had double the fortune. Ah well, I suppose it can not be helped. He does get a lot of things done.

Yes! And he's very energetic and brave, too!

[MOMO, you are too good at providing prime Jr teasing fodder.] I see. Well, you two are young, so you can keep up with each other easily.

[But she's sincere! She really thinks this! Don't tease her ~~one true love~~ friend because of her admiration, Gaignun!]

But... aren't you and Jr. the same age?

[It's a little brother's duty to be a pest. Besides, he's always teased Jr. about his love life, or lack there of.]

Technically, but watching him just makes me feel old sometimes.

[Well yes. But MOMO would be so sad if she knew that she had given Gaignun fodder for teasing!]

Now you sound a little like Ziggy!

[O-oh. Well. He just wont tell her.] Well, that's not a bad person to sound like I think. [he smiles a bit at her].

You must have had a lot of fun traveling with everyone like that.

Not at all! Ziggy is very smart, even if Jr. thinks he moves too slowly.

I did! I kind of miss it... but being here is almost the same, in a way! [Gaignun should have been a playable character, dammit.]
