Unit 1 - Video
[The video clicks on, showing a black haired man with a very mild look of bewilderment on his face. Not as much as one might expect from a total newbie, but by this point he's a tad used to waking up in strange places. Thanks Dad. Though really, this doesn't look like what he expected the afterlife to be. He really doesn't feel dead though so he's guessing he's alive.]
Oh so that button is the same...[Oh. Right. Broadcasting. He clears his throat]
I suppose I should go out on a limb and assume that this was not where I was supposed to end up. For one thing, I've been to most of the planets that like to emulate Lost Jerusalem and this does not look at all familiar. Would someone be kind enough to tell me what is going on here? Or at least where this place is? I have to admit I am a little lost.

I'd be more concerned with Rubedo, if I were you. His body won't be as sturdy now, after all. And this place is lacking the nanotreatment you're used to.

And don't worry, I will be giving him that lecture too. I just happened to say it to you first.

*And clearly he's only worried about your endeavors because they would benefit Rubedo.*

[A good sleep and he'll have something figured out, he hopes.]

Try not to wait too long to figure something out.

I know that well Albedo. Now that I have my mind to myself again I can get things back on track soon enough.

*Clearly teasing now.*

If that's what it takes to get start up money in this place, fine. I will do what I have to.
[Not that he'd particularly relish working at a grocery store, and the teasing that would come with it, but living off someone's charity was something he only wanted to do once. If he was going to have to start again, he would do it himself.]

Luckily for all of us, this place is rather accommodating to newcomers. As amusing as it would be, I doubt it will come to that.
...damn lack of edit.
You're imagining it now, aren't you. Not like you'd look anymore dignified in that type of uniform.
*Pat pat.*

Hah, well if you two managed it, I don't foresee myself having much trouble. [While he's glad they've both sorted themselves out, he finds it a tad annoying that once again he's chasing behind them.]

Have fun joining the ranks of those who actually do the physical labor themselves, then.

[That office may have been fantastically cushy, but Gaignun had earned every last piece of fluff in those pillows. All night paperwork runs, dealing with other powerful leaders, dealing with subordinates who want things done their way and screw the rest of the company. It was a headache.]
