[Video/Action for the fight]

[The Dark Hour is visible behind Ledah: his face is to the camera, and he must have turned it on intentionally, for he addresses it.] I request aid.

[He then turns the camera to view his Shadow. The Shadow holding a blazing red lance in his hands, with black wings unfurling from his back.]

Grim Angel, registration number 1487. Ledah, the Solitary Angel. [It speaks in the usual echoed tone of a Shadow, with little inflection.]

...Yes, that is who I am.

That is who you were. You gave up that title long ago. [Ledah stiffens, and the Shadow goes on.] You failed, Ledah. You were too weak and could not fulfill your mission. The loss of your divine grace, and even more than that, the return of your emotions is proof.

The emotions are a part of the human body-

Your emotions were a sacrifice taken by the gods themselves. No power lesser than the gods or one acting through them is able to give them back to you. Are you about to become a heretic as well?

[Ledah grits his teeth.] ...I will not.

Then we agree that they returned your sacrifice to you willingly, and took back in exchange your blessings. You delude yourself, Ledah. You claim to the title of Grim Angel because it reassures you. Although you spare demons, you are still a Grim Angel. Although you busy yourself with unimportant tasks and fall into complacency, you are still a Grim Angel. Although you bring shame to the title with your weakness-

You lie--!

[Ledah lets the phone fall from his hand, and it shuts off upon hitting the ground.]

[Lion turned on the video feed in an attempt to help him, but now that it's on, he's desperately grasping for something to say. Finally, he settles on:]

Do the others matter?

Of course they do.

Of course they don't.

[He is trying oh so hard to ignore that yellow-eyed twin behind him.]

I need no allies here. I have been foolish too long and only made myself more vulnerable.

[Okay, talking to the real Ledah now.]

Where are you? I... I can try to help.

Rushing in, guns blazing! Finally, I get a chance to do some damage!

Just outside the library. I would appreciate any assistance you could provide.

[The library. He knows where that is.]

Okay. I'll be right there.

[It takes a little while -- Lion had been a bit lost before seeing the video, as being harassed by your other self can be distracting -- but he does eventually show up, seeing the Shadow in its full "glory."]

Whoa.

Yes. That is my appearance before I came to this island.

[He eyes the Shadow warily.]

If I attempt to leave or lower my guard, it attacks. I have no choice but to face it down.

I only know a spell, but I'll be right behind you.

None of the spells I've learned will function on him. He's immune to fire. I'll have to simply attack.

...Thank you.

I know ice spells! If he's immune to fire, maybe he's weak to ice.

If he's anything like me at all in combat, ice is his weakness.

I'm ready when you are, then!

[At this point, April was regretting having wondered off her on her own during the Dark Hour.

But she manages to find Ledah... plus his Shadow. OH SHI-] L-Ledah!

April. I-I need help.

[He can admit it to her, at least.]

[She's pretty quick to make it to his side, and Iris appears behind her in an instant as she watches the Shadow warily.]

Are you okay? Are you hurt or anything?

I have taken only a minor injury to my side. More importantly, it attacks when I attempt to leave or lower my guard. I must face it down here.

[She frowns in concern, but gives him a nod.]

I'll help you. I think the two attack spells I have will be able to help damage it.

Good. My fire spell is totally ineffective, and even physical attacks are less than ideal... but at least they still work.

Hopefully electricity and wind will do better... Well, I'm ready to go when you are.

[Without another word, Ledah charges at the Shadow, who stops his lance with his.]

Iris! [And with that, her persona sends a Zio towards the Shadow.]

[The Shadow winces at the shock of lightning - it's unable to properly dodge because Ledah drives it into the bolt. Instead it attacks again, bursts of flame accompanying its lance.

Ledah resists fire, but he's not immune to it like his Shadow is.]

[She has Iris send another Zio at the Shadow while making sure to move out of the range of any fire, and she glances at Ledah to check if he's hurt. She has a feeling that her gun won't do much damage, so her best bet seems to be attacking with spells for now.]

[The next strike from the Shadow is a flurry of blows, the last of which pierces. Ledah shudders in pain, while the ground underneath of him and the other combatants cracks. If she's smart, she'll get out of the way very quickly, before flame bursts up from the ground.]
