This is Diarmuid Ua Duibhne. The real one.
Please disregard anything you may have been told by the last person on this network claiming to be me. I'm sorry for the confusion.

[Wherever Saber's living now, early that evening there would be a knock on her door by a very unhappy-looking Diarmuid.]

(What the hell are you thinking, Miles?)

And if it does, what then? I've no idea how to truly dispel it.

But if that's so, I truly don't understand why it keeps a hold on Sola.

I once had a lance that inflicted a curse upon those it wounded. But once the lance was broken, the effects of the curse vanished without a trace. Logically, this should be the same; eliminate the source and the derivations fall apart.
But perhaps the mechanics of Gae Buidhe's curse simply work differently. The comparison to a serpent would explain Sola's affliction in the simplest terms.

Unfortunately--and forgive me if this should sound dismissive--I think perhaps your approach to gathering evidence may not apply quite as well in circumstances such as this.

[Edgeworth visibly bristles at Diarmuid's assessment of the matter.]
We can't very well rely on purely circumstantial evidence, particularly when trying to deduce something as elusive as the difference between mental illness, free will, and a curse. Furthermore, a method of detection that only I can perceive the results of, taken alone, would fall into the realm of spectral evidence, no better than a malicious accusation. That being said, if I were so capable, it would if nothing else allow a proper method to be devised with my supervision.
