6th Ritual of Detestation: Secular holidays

[ Garviel is sitting on a bench by the Hotel, clearly not in a Christmassy mood. He's scowling at the world, and if you approach, scowling at you. Dare you talk to the tremendous fellow? ]

[She tilts her head.]

Oh? May I ask why?

That does make sense...

Well...if it helps, not everyone celebrates Christmas for its religious purposes. In my home country, it's treated more like a commercial holiday because of influences from other countries. It's considered to be a time to spend with that special person.

Even though I'm not part of the religion that celebrates it, I find it to be a time to spread some cheer during the gloomier winter weather. Not to mention it's a time to bond with people and promote the goodness and hope in humanity.

Well, I don't any of us are going to take the religious side too seriously. It's just mostly to cheer us up and just to have fun. I believe there is a Christmas party and we also have New Year's eve as well.

[She blushes and laughs nervously.]

Uh, well, I was going to spend the rest of day and night with him. There's nothing wrong with giving someone a little 'me' time after all.
