Third ☢ Leap [video]

[Okabe finally decided to use the video part of his phone, or at least it seemed like it would help get his message out a bit better than just using text. He was taking Kurisu's advice on not sounding like a crazy person or at least trying to.]

The holiday coming up that's nothing more than a waste of money is coming up. I don't trust anything that comes out around this time, it has to be some sort of trick by the organization that makes people fall in to their evil trap.

[Clearly Okabe is failing at the whole “don't sound like a crazy person” advice]

Fwuahaha, they won't fool me. If someone really wanted to take part in this mushy love filled holiday they would just make something them self and give it to said person! [There's a short pause]

Funds are quite low now seeing as I've yet to find a so called job. Mad scientists don't need a job, being a scientist is one in and of it self. My assistant is going to be angry if I don't get her a gift though...

I always thought valentines day was pretty great. I remember taking a ton of chocolate from guys back in high school on it.

Taking chocolate is one of the many positive points of the holiday but it's still playing right in to the hands of the organization.

Giving and receiving chocolates and other items has been burned in to our brains, it's clearly all some mass marketing ploy in order to kill everyone's wallets!

I don't think they were giving them too me because some ad told them too.

I think it's because I would hit them if they didn't.

Hitting people isn't the best way to get something you want from someone. You should just physic them out instead, finding how they think it's the best way to over power someone.

I don't think I wanted to give the boys in my high school what they were thinking about.

High schoolers tend to think in ways many people find rude and perverted.

But one day they will become perverted gentlemen like one of the members of my lab. He's truly the prime example of how a perverted otaku should behave!

That's terrible! No one should filthy their mind with thoughts like that once they are grown up!

Having an otaku mind is better then falling in to the endless mental traps the organization sets up!

I'm a mad scientist, not an otaku though.

Neither of those is good!

Being a mad scientist is more fun, just being a normal scientist is boring and uneventful.

I think we've argued about this before. As long as you aren't hurting the wrong people.

I don't plan on hurting anyone during my stay here, I've seen enough back home and rather not get in to anything here.

Love-filled holiday?

The holiday is called Valentines day, it's in a few weeks. In March there's a holiday called White day in which the person you gave a gift to has to do something in return.

[Oh no she's getting ideas now.]

In a few weeks it's Valentine's day? Oh, Alice has bunches of time to think about gifts, then!

Never heard of White day before, though.

Yes, plenty of time to think about gifts and make them for people!

It's a Japanese holiday, I'm sure other countries around the world have holidays that are like it though.

Mad scientists don't give out gifts, they find ways to ruin them or make them better.

Ruining them's not nice. Making them better is, though!

A mad scientist is someone who wants to take over the world through bad means. It's much better then just being a normal scientist, those are boring!

They are very dangerous people out to send the world in to chaos along with hurting a lot of people.

Even though you can fight sending little kids on to a battlefield isn't something anyone should do.

Mad scientists aren't funny that's whats wrong.

Well-said. Seems no one bothers to hand-craft gifts nowadays.

The organization is at work causing the masses to pour money in to useless gifts and candy. I rather make something then fall in to their trap!

It's more meaningful to make something with your own two hands than it is to just buy it, anyway. Lets you add personal touches.

They're a group of people out to get me and unleash chaos on to the world. They have to be stopped at all costs, and you never know where they could be hiding because they're everywhere!

It's a bit hard to believe there's enough of anyone to have people everywhere, you know.

It's true though, the organization is everywhere. Hiding in plain site unknown to the world!

Sounds like you're generalizing it. That kind of an ambush would be damn hard to pull off.

It might be hard to pull off an ambush but it's still something that could happen. You can't be to careful about things.

Ugh, don't talk like that. You're starting to remind me of a paranoid acquaintance of mine.

If they're paranoid then they might be hiding something, they could be plotting against everyone.

[There's a loud, hearty, laugh. One that takes a bit to die down, actually! When it does, Lancer seems in a far better, or at least far more amused mood.]
