Forward dated after The Hermit
[ The restaurant that Saber chooses to work at is an unique one: high class and popular with the socialites of Prospero. It shouldn't come as a surprise to any who know this to see her walking down the street back to the hotel in her snazzy black suit.
Completely drenched as the rain continues to pour down around her. These things really can't be helped, can they? ]

Is there any way to find information about someone who's recently arrived in this place?

Saber? Are you all right? You seem a bit the worse for the weather.
no subject
A bit of water has never hurt anyone before, Sir Garviel. Save for the tales of witches, but they float do they not?
no subject
[ He stands, heading into the Men's bathroom, and comes out a moment later with a towel, offering it to Saber. ]
A bit of water in and of itself cannot hurt you, but pneumonia or the flux, or any of the other illnesses that you are vulnerable to, if cold and damp for too long can fell you more readily than a blade. Or a Shadow for that matter. I'll not have it on my conscience to see you ignominiously sick abed.
no subject
[ A small sigh. ]
I have traveled in worse conditions, Sir Garviel. I do not believe I will fall ill due to a bit of rain. Your concern is better spent on other circumstances.
no subject
That being said, there are sanctioned psykers that also use the power of the Warp, but they understand their limits, and how to use it without making deals with the powers that lurk there. Unholy, Ruinous things that prey on humanity. Rather like the foes we recently slew.
[ Garviel nods, but he's still got the towel in hand, held out to her. ]
You are very brave, and your stoicism does you credit, but it seems I have become something of your second and advisor, almost by accident. As such, I feel it is my duty to make sure you are fit for war.
I propose a compromise. Why don't you dry up a bit, and I'll fetch us both something hot to drink, so we can discuss our recent battle.
[action]
Hey, you weren't out there very long, were you? Forget an umbrella?
[action]
[ Hi I'm from the 12th century what is an umbrella... ]
A little rain has never killed any man before.
[action]
Well, we need to get you out of those clothes. Come on! [She grabs her hand and starts to drag her toward the stairs.]
[action]
Wha-? [ Out of these clothes? There's little resistance as she's pulled along, Saber minding her manners when it comes to ladies. ]
You are serious?
[action]
[She suddenly stops.] Which room is yours?
[action]
[ Saber knows when to cut her battles short. This one wasn't going to get anywhere, so she'll go along.
Because it is canon that she's whipped by strong females.]Up on the top floor. Not one of the honeymoon suites [ Although she's sure Archer would help with that if he found out she was hiding in a tiny room. ] but the normal ones facing out towards the streets. It is ideal for watching.
[action]
Okay. You'll have to tell me the number when we get up there. [And she's off again.]
[action]
Of course. [ Following her with ease, she remains silent after. Being pulled and pushed around by a girl was something she was use to thanks to the Fifth Holy Grail War.
For a moment, she almost misses Rin Tohsaka. ]
[action]
All right. Top floor. Room number?
[action]
There. [ A pause. ] Are you tired now?

You would think a king would take better care of herself in such horrid weather. It would be a shame if you caught a cold and were confined to bed for several days.
--Ah, but you need not worry about that. I'll happily take care of you if that happens, Saber. [This would sound so nice and friendly coming from anybody but him.]
no subject
... only to regret it afterward. ]
Archer. [ Is it possible to state his name with any more loathing? ] Nothing of the sort will happen. I have fought battles in colder weather and never once fell to plague or sickness.
[ Narrowing her gaze. ]
I will not permit you anywhere near me nor my bed. Cease with your attempts to be friendly.
no subject
How cute. Do you really think I'm attempting to be friendly? This place has brought us together again for some reason. Don't think for a second that I won't claim what is rightfully mine.
[The engine comes to a stop, and there's the distinctive sound of the door opening. Never mind the logic behind this. He'll be approaching her as casually as ever.]
Now, should we continue from where we left off?
no subject
One with a tongue like his own must be blessed in his own way. ]
You do not mean you will carry on an endless struggle with emotions though, do you? [ And then he approaches her, Saber bringing up her arms in a defensive manner. ]
If you wish to continue our battle here, then we shall. On your strike, Archer.
no subject
No matter the true nature of this place, I'm still Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes. Everything I see is mine as I see fit, regardless if this is truly the Earth we know or not.
And have you not learned anything from your brief stay in the modern world? There's this little idiom the mongrels seem to be so fond of, "ladies first".
[There's that perverted smirk again. He's just begging for her to deck him in the face.]
no subject
I have learned plenty of things during my stay. For example, one who hides their hands often are hiding something or are intimidated by the other party. Take note how my own palms are out towards you, a clear sign that I fear nothing from you.
1/2
2/2
Hmpf. I have nothing to hide from you, King of Knights. If this means you wish for me to throw the first punch, so be it. I suppose it is only because you can not justify starting a fight.
[And he'll make his move, quickly advancing on her form and launching a punch directly to--
The wall behind her? Wait, what? Did he miss on purpose?]
no subject
Your accuracy has improved vastly since we last fought. [ Cocking her head to the side. ] I can see why you are an Archer.
no subject
That was simply a fluke. I'm still not completely used to moving around without the enhancements my servant status gave me. Hopefully you'll forgive me for not being in my top form. [Yes, words dripping in sarcasm.]
no subject
Ha. [ A tiny scoff as she tries to not show any pain. Pride doesn't permit it. ] One's strength does not lie within enhancements granted..
[ Bringing up her arm, she'll try to swing her elbow towards his chest. ]
.. but in the strength and courage they held when they were alive!
no subject
What is this? Are you trying to make yourself feel better since you've grown so weak in this frail human form? You're not a king anymore. You're just a fragile woman. I'm sure another punch like that would knock you out cold!
[Gilgamesh's steps to fighting:
1. Attack.
2. Gloat and belittle opponent for fifteen minutes.
3. Get owned because you were too caught up in listening to yourself speak to notice your opponent going in for the killing blow.]
no subject
[ Gilgamesh, this is no way to get yourself in Saber's bed. His insults only further fuel her determination to prove otherwise as she sprints at him with the close distance, her own hand in a fist.
Heading straight up for his nose with every intent of striking at him with her knuckles. ]
no subject
He'll allow Saber to move this close, and maybe even make her believe that she's about to hit. But at the very last second, his hand sneaks between her fist and it's destination. He'll just be smiling while she attempts to free her fist from his grasp... or more likely attack in some other way now that his attention is focused on one point.]
So, this is your way of proving yourself? It's clearly not working. Now, maybe if you beg, I'll release you.
no subject
Tch! [ Her arm remains strong in his hold, refusing to not bend to the pressure he was applying. ]
I would never do such a thing.
no subject
You always say that, but I know eventually you'll give in. They all do. It's only a matter of time.
no subject
I never will give in. [ Bringing up her leg to try to kick at his own, she miiiight be off with her aim, and that maaaaay be a knee coming in close between his thighs. ]
Especially to the likes of you!
no subject
Any other woman would die to be so desired by this king. Why must you be so foolish? I've offered you the world, even my own life, and yet you still deny me. Perhaps I made peace with that in the last realm of existence, but this is different. I will get what I want in the end. I promise you that mu--
[Damn it, Gil. You really need to pay more attention instead of going off into your little speeches. Critical hit to the nads. But instead of the usual reaction many lesser mongrels would have, Gil's face is only filled with rage. Saber will find herself being shoved backwards, and maybe even possibly being pinned against the wall.]
You-- A king, no less, resorting to such cheap tactics. Where is your pride?
no subject
You have my apologies, Archer. [ FOREVER INDULGE IN THIS BECAUSE IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN, GOLDIE. ] It was not my intention.
[ That much is obvious in the sympathy in her eyes as she looks up towards him. Dark circles under her eyes and how she doesn't resist him now, perhaps she should try sleeping some instead of continuing her life in this way. ]
no subject
You act as if I care for your apologies. They do little to make up for the ruined mood of a fight.
no subject
[ Spoken without hesitation at all. ]
You have my honor as a knight and my word as a king.
no subject
And just how do you plan on doing that?
no subject
[ Quietly spoken. Perhaps this would be a suitable response, not wanting to allow him to have full control over her. ]
Without our Noble Phantasms..
[ It would be a battle of pure skill. Even if she knows that she stands no chance against him, she continues. ]
I will even put anything up as compensation. So our battle will have purpose behind it.
no subject
[Her determination to fight him, despite her circumstances, was very admirable from the view of a king. Although the other side of him merely considered her a fool for even attempting.]
We'll decide on proper compensation at the time of our fight.
no subject
[ A simple response despite everything he's said. There's very little she finds herself wanting to say to him after all. ]
I will seek you out soon enough.
