01 Voice || backdated to morning on the 29th
[Lion's been fidgeting with this...phone thing for a while now, and finally manages to broadcast his voice—he hasn't figured out the video feature yet because hey he's from the 80's okay and technology.]
Hello? Can anyone hear me? Will...?
What…exactly is this? I’m afraid I don’t quite understand it…I don’t recognize where I am, at all. This definitely isn’t an uncharted area of Rokkenjima, and I know there are several places that I‘m unaware of in the forest… But, no…
I’m certain this is a completely different place altogether, it's far too huge. The climate is so much different, and…this place is actually quite a bit more remarkable than my island.
Besides, I doubt an entire city could fit on my home island. The thought alone is bizarre.
[He puts a hand over his mouth in thought, looking pensive and a bit troubled.]
More importantly, I believe leaving the church should have been impossible. It was...well, I can't quite explain why. Not even I understand it... In any case, I must return there as soon as possible. Someone, anyone, please tell me where exactly I am so that I can make the necessary arrangements to get back to my family.

I am Beatrice the Golden; Alchemic advisor to the Ushiromiya family and, in particular, Kinzo Ushiromiya himself.
And Krauss Ushiromiya has no son. He has a daughter. There is no heir. Kinzo's children fight for lordship like dogs for scraps.
What kind of game are you playing, child?
i love this. just saying. also sorry for the tl;dr lion likes to talk
[He pauses. Recollects himself. Closes his eyes. Agh this makes no sense. He shakes his head. Best to take things one step at a time, here, or else nothing will go anywhere.]
He has both. Jessica is my younger sister. And I assure you, I am the heir, Ushiromiya Lion. I possess the silver crest ring as proof of that. The slandering of my family is uncalled for.
As for games, your identity is the only one in question as far as I'm concerned. You sound far too young to be that woman--Beatrice Castiglioni, was it? That was ages ago, when Grandfather was in the war...and I believe she's passed. And the--her daughter, Beatrice II--she's...she's no longer living. Those are the only Beatrices I know of.
So I'll ask again--who exactly are you?
[He's only recently learned all of this, so it's making his head spin. That, along with coming to this place...It's all too confusing.]
I do, too. Like, so much. Also, no worries. something like this deserves to be long-winded. ♥
I am not 'that' Beatrice or any of the others you mentioned.
[What in the hell is this boy on about?]
It's not slander if it's the truth. Jessica has no siblings, that's plain enough. So, either you're lying or your mind has tricked you into believing something that simply cannot be.
I can understand your want to be a part of such a wealthy family, but I assure you it's not all it's cracked up to be.
You may have a silver ring that resembles the family crest, but it means nothing to the ring of the family head...the ring that rests on my finger.
Allow me to respond to your question once more. Perhaps this will make things clearer.
I am Beatrice. I am the witch of infinity who has lived for a thousand years. Rokkenjima was my playground and your so-called family served as my playthings. Nothing more. I want desperately to leave this place so that I might go back to pulling their strings and making them dance for my amusement.
Does that help~?

...That can't be. Grandfather still possesses the ring of the family head. He wouldn't let go of something like that as long as he's still alive--or at the very least before I come of age to inherit everything.
How did you get ahold of that?
I'm sorry, but from my perspective, you are the one who's tricked herself into believing something absurd. The only Beatrices are the two I've mentioned--there is no "witch" Beatrice that I know of. Never in my nineteen years have I ever heard such a story on Rokkenjima.
[He pauses again. He's beginning to get a headache here because the argument seems like it will never end. Then something occurs to him.]
...Seeing as we're getting nowhere with this, I suggest we consult someone who knows a great deal about the Ushiromiya family. His name is Willard H. Wright--do you know of him?

Is it so absurd to believe that the little blanket of ignorance you shroud yourself in might blind you to the truth a bit~? I am a witch. And had I the powers I had on that island, I would show you the error of your ways...repeatedly.
[She'll respond with a throaty laugh, one that sounds particularly amused.]
So, I'm to take the word of an acquaintance of yours on my specific level of madness?
Very well. This should at the very least be interesting. I have not heard of your expert witness, but I'm sure you'll be a dear and arrange a meeting, correct~?
no subject
...I won't keep trying to dispute your claims, but the way I've heard it is much more logical. I just...
[He sighs quietly. So frustrating.]
While I don't doubt you would carry out that threat, please refrain until we get this sorted out. As it is, he is also in this place, so I will discuss the plan of a meeting and get back to you immediately.
...I would very much like to know what exactly is going on, and I don't doubt you feel the same.

I'll hear from your apparent expert. I hope that he isn't as difficult to deal with as you are, you poor, deluded child.
[There's no way this Will person knows as much as she does. But what else does she have to do? This island leaves one with nothing but time.]
Don't leave me in suspense for too long, alright? I'm eager to meet this friend of yours.
