I’m certain this is a completely different place altogether, it's far too huge. The climate is so much different, and…this place is actually quite a bit more remarkable than my island.

Besides, I doubt an entire city could fit on my home island. The thought alone is bizarre.

[He puts a hand over his mouth in thought, looking pensive and a bit troubled.]

More importantly, I believe leaving the church should have been impossible. It was...well, I can't quite explain why. Not even I understand it... In any case, I must return there as soon as possible. Someone, anyone, please tell me where exactly I am so that I can make the necessary arrangements to get back to my family.

[ He nods back. ] You too. It's good to see you look fine. [ a pause ] You are, right?

[Lion pauses at that--he didn't think to check.]

I certainly hope so--I feel fine, at least.

[ Well, Mafuyu smiles a little at least. ]

Alright. Either way, finding a room at the hotel and then getting something to eat should make you feel better.

[ He takes a side step back. ] You didn't want to go anywhere else first, did you? I'm not too familiar, but I've been going around here enough to know some places.

...However, perhaps getting to know more about this place is also a wise course of action. What are the places you're familiar with?

The phone is good to keep hold of. [ He holds up his own for a moment. ] People use it regularly to talk out to everyone, so if you want to get to know people, that and talking to people at the hotel are the two best ways.

Felix's Finds is good to know, too. [ And he points it out ] That shop there - but that's because of what I told you before, though I don't know if I could encourage you going straight into that...

[Lion nods.]

I won't be letting go of it anytime soon, then.

[He looks towards the shop.]

Oh, that's--the weapons shop, was it? Let's hope I won't need to go there for a while.

[ He nods. ]

If you do want to investigate the happenings at night, it's best to go with someone else.

[ Anyway- ] Would you like to go to the hotel now? Ah, but if you want, we could stop somewhere to get something to drink or eat. If you're hungry, that is. I can tell you more places along the way.

Sure. [ He takes a step, turning sideways, as if preparing to soon face towards the way he came but not yet turning away from Lion. ] There's a ramen shop if you're not used to Western food.

[Oh western food is basically all he eats he's a rich kid who lives in a western mansion.]

I'm quite accustomed to Western cuisine, but either is fine. I haven't actually had ramen in a very long time.

Ah? Alright, then I'll take us there. [ Lion saying that though, Mafuyu does realise that the man is well-dressed, probably more so than someone who would wear a suit for a special occasion. H hadn't really thought to note it. ]

...Hm. This city does look quite normal. I find it odd how strange things apparently happen at midnight. What do these "shadows" look like, exactly?

[ Mafuyu is all about haunted mansions okok ]

They don't always look the same... but some of the ones are seen are close to their name. They're black forms that don't move in a way like any other creature. It's hard to explain... [ but, thinking a moment- ] Like a mass of darkness without a shape.

[ But to explain this out in the day of the city, it did all seem bizarre and unreal. Maybe Lion didn't believe him, but still, nothing he could do about that - and that choice was up to him. Mafuyu wouldn't force him, but he did still want the man to be aware. ]

It's true that it's hard to believe that something could happen here, or at all- everything here is as normal any other city or town. But it's at night you'll be able to see it. [ As they walked, he kept his head faced some towards Lion, though also an eye was kept out to the front of him. ] Even if you don't go outside, you'll know when it happens.

I see. They sound terrible. I do suppose I'll know when I see something as strange as that.

[Lion falls silent for a while, thinking, and just looking around.]

I'm not exactly in a position to deny the possibility of that happening, being new here. The fact that I arrived in such a strange manner proves that there's--something--about this place.

I won't say I'm not curious about this happening at midnight.

I was too. I still am, since many believe that facing the creatures that show up to be a way to help us leave here - but there's no solid proof of that.

But... well, for now, maybe it would be best to tell you more about things that will help you while you're here.

I certainly hope that's the case here...
