Kaiji is blissfully unaware of the latest effects on the town. For now, that is. But at the current moment he's wrapped up in his own dilemma - trying to find a good Valentine's Day gift for Saori. He and Sakurako made a killing on Super Bowl betting, so he's saved it to get something for his girlfriend, as tempting as taking it all to the casino is.

Okay. Maybe he saved a little to take to the casino.

Today, he'll be standing outside the windows of various jewelry shops and department stores, grumbling and smoking cigarettes at a furious pace. He's also looking around the area a lot, to make sure Saori doesn't pop around the corner. He's trying to keep a low profile. But that means anyone else is free to help him, mock him, or whatever!

Oh, hey. [Kaiji sighs a little.] Not really, I guess. I'm just not much of a shopper.

Then you could go somewhere else, right? Or.. hmm, is there maybe something you have to do? I don't mind helping out if something's up!

I've checked most places already. I'm...just not good at this whole Valentine's thing.

Oh, so it's a Valentine's gift..? [ She giggles, almost giddily so at the idea. ]

For a special girl?

[Miki, while walking down the street, runs into Kaiji in the same manner she does with him 90% of the time: by bumping into him while not paying attention as he gazes in the window. Being injured, she isn't moving as fast as she normally would, resulting in a rather low impact collision. Realizing Kaiji is the person she ran into, Miki immediately backs Off and starts apologizing, imagining that Kaiji won't be glad to see her.]

Oh, I-I'm sorry Kaiji, I didn't mean...

[Kaiji turns to berate whoever it is - getting bumped into is all too common here - but when he sees it's Miki and the way she's acting, he stops.]

Yeah, it's... what the hell is wrong?

[Miki looks around confused for a bit before looking back at Kaiji.]

Oh- you aren't mad.

[He doesn't exactly look happy either.]

I don't have time to start shit with you today. Plus you look like someone already took the piss out of you today.

[Kaiji gives him a small wave back and, after looking around to make sure Saori was nowhere in sight, walks into the shop.]
