[This is an unexpected sight. Here sits one usually haughty witch tucking her hair gently behind her ear and looking quite subdued.]

So, I have a personal dilemma with which I'd like to consult someone who might have...more experience.

[God, this is embarrassing.]

It's one thing to gain a man's attention...but say it's someone who is very difficult to talk to. Or better yet, someone you've teased relentlessly.
How would one go about convincing him your feelings have changed?

I want to bring over a dessert for us to share...but at this point he may think I poisoned it.

How can I assure him it's just a strawberry? Any advice would...be appreciated.

... Yes, I would definitely forgive you. [ but, you know, David might be sort of an exception to usual guy behaviour, especially since in religion it comes down to forgiving all the repenting people!! ]

No matter what you would have done to me, I would forgive you if you came looking for forgiveness from me. So I am sure he can not that much different.

He is.. [ ... how does he.. put this.. diplomatically.. ] ... a rather special man, indeed. [ CAN'T GET MUCH MORE DIPLOMATICAL THAN THAT. ] And he does not seem to believe in God's help as much as I do, so I hope he might come to see that one day, but..

I am sure that if there is any good in him, he will be able to forgive you, no matter what has happened.

That may be due to the fact that he believes himself to be a demigod. That's not uncommon for his time, but it makes for a rather difficult job of getting through to him. Especially regarding anything religious.

Oh, David. You've made me feel so much better about this. He's not a monster, right? He should forgive me if I'm honest. Now it's just a matter of doing that.
