[This is an unexpected sight. Here sits one usually haughty witch tucking her hair gently behind her ear and looking quite subdued.]

So, I have a personal dilemma with which I'd like to consult someone who might have...more experience.

[God, this is embarrassing.]

It's one thing to gain a man's attention...but say it's someone who is very difficult to talk to. Or better yet, someone you've teased relentlessly.
How would one go about convincing him your feelings have changed?

I want to bring over a dessert for us to share...but at this point he may think I poisoned it.

How can I assure him it's just a strawberry? Any advice would...be appreciated.

His name is Gilgamesh. I'm sure you've at least heard of him. He's hardly the shy type.

[This is spoken in the same tone of voice someone would say "I have indeed seen a cockroach before."]

Too often, I'm afraid.

[She'd picked up on the distaste in his tone, but she was fine with that. It wasn't like she was unaware that he could be irritating, she was just too loveblind to let it discourage her.]

I see. Suffice it to say we aren't on the best of terms.
But I find myself attracted to him. I want to know all about him.
And I want him to feel the same for me.

Do you think that's impossible with his personality?

If you don't mind me foregoing tact for a little bit, I think your biggest challenge in courting Gilgamesh would be that you're not him. And he loves himself a great deal.

[Does he dislike Gil? Yeah. Did he offer Beato a hand? Yeah. One of these things takes priority over the other, as far as he's concerned.]

...That said, I doubt it's impossible. After all, that guy loved another enough to call them his sibling long ago. And then there's the thing with Saber...

[A beat.]

Don't read into that last one too much, by the way. Anyway, he's clearly still human on some level. There's not a human alive who doesn't value sincerity and integrity.

No, I appreciate the honesty. I know he's a bit vain. And usually, I think our personalities would clash quite spectacularly, but I can't really help myself.

[His comment about Saber cut a bit. He could brush it off well enough, but it was true the woman held Gilgamesh's affections whether she wanted them or not. Even now, she resided at his condo. It wouldn't be easy coming between a bond like that.]

If you'll pardon my saying so, it's hard not to read into something like that. I know he cares for her. I suppose I have only to count on her continual rebuffing of him to even the scales, hm?
But I see your meaning. He must be capable of love if he can feel it for her, right?

[He waves a hand dismissively.]

You'd be better off asking the woman herself if you wanted to know the details. All I know is what I've heard from others involved. Secondhand information gets distorted, and all, and I'd hate to tell you something that turns out to be a lie.

That said, you're right. He's still human like the rest of us, and subject to everything that comes with that. He's obviously showing some kind of emotion, too.

[She'd shake her head a bit with a face like she'd just bitten into a lemon.]

No, no. That could only be a mess. Especially if she had even the slightest of feelings for him. It would be much less awkward to simply take things directly to him.

[There's a bit of silence. It would be good to get an opinion from someone who is less bias, right?]

Me? Well, that guy and myself are worlds apart in terms of personality, but...

I can assure you I would never allow things to be dull. Even if a lover's spat is called for.

I know you two are night and day, but I wish he shared a bit of your good humor. That would help me immensely.

Not that I'm the best judge of that guy's personality, but it seems like he's mellowed out a bit in the time I've been here. Who knows, maybe he needs a little push and he can become a mostly-tolerable human being.

That's a good bit of insight, though. Perhaps I could be that little push. Ah, wishful thinking.~ I'll be satisfied if I pull his attention away from Saber long enough to confess.
