[Thanks to the, uhh, "generosity", of Gilgamesh, Miki has finally found some employment. However, sitting behind a register at a bookstore late at night, no matter how ridiculous and golden that register may be, isn't really her idea of fun. The books do nothing for her either, as books are also rather boring to her. After two dull nights and desperate for some excitement in her life, as her injuries have made constant nightly shadow hunts unwise, Miki has decided to throw herself into her second passion which has seen little use since her arrival at Prospero: getting people to visit her store.]

Video, sometime around 8PM Friday.

[Miki's phone is propped up against a pole in such a way that the viewing angle shows both her and Gil's bookstore in full behind her. Smiling, Miki begins speaking loudly and cheerfully as she makes exaggerated gestures towards the bookstore.]

Hey! Are you bored? Do you like reading books? Do you like coffee? Do you like cute things with cat ears? Well now you can have all of them at The Bookstore! Come on down to the Kitty Cafe inside and we'll make sure you'll have the best time you ever had inside a bookstore! T-this definitely means you too Lion! Nyan~

[Miki brings her arm up to her face in an imitation of the Maneki Neko pose before she runs up to the phone and shuts off the feed.]

Action - The bookstore

[The inside of Gil's bookstore is now filled with about two dozen stray cats that Miki has headed in off of the streets. Most of them lounge about in the way that cats are wont to do, with dispositions ranging from affectionate to disinterest. None of them look overly sick or diseased or infested, Miki did screen these cats personally, at least. Miki herself is running around, wearing her normal clothes and completely absent any sort of superfluous ears, handing out coffee in cardboard cups to the few bewildered customers inside. She has a few bandages on her hands and face, as well as a few minor red scratches.]

Of course you can! You can even have a free drink since you're one of my friends!

Great! I'll be right over!

[doop doop and here she is]

[The place is, as states, filled with cats sitting on the books, the furniture, everything. Miki bounds over to Sakurako when she walks in.]

Sakurako! Aren't all these cats the cutest things?

They're so adorable! I don't know which one I want to pet first!

[Sakurako loves cats almost as much as karaoke, so she's like a kid in a candy store right now.]

Well all of them should be good! I made sure not to get any filthy looking ones.

Oh, do you want anything? Coffee? Tea? It is a cafe too!

I wonder if we're allowed to have cats in the dorms. Can I adopt one of them? Oh, and, um... do you have any bubble tea?

If you want too! Just don't take all of them, we need some to keep the place true to it's original purpose.

We only have coffee and tea. There really wasn't anything in here beyond a coffee maker so I'm just making due with that for now. Sorry.

That's okay! Can you make milk tea, maybe?

[Already playing with one of the cats.]

I think we have some milk somewhere. I'll go look.

[Miki returns shortly with a cardboard cup for Sakurako.]

Hopefully this should be good enough! I'll try and get some more stuff in here, but I've never really worked in a cafe before.

[Sakurako smiles, taking the tea and stirring it with her finger a little before drinking it.]

Yeah, it's good! And maybe you can get some better cafe stuff when it starts attracting more customers.

Yeah, probably better coffee machines and one of those loud things that make foam. I should probably offer them something to eat too.

Yeah, cake or something would probably be a good idea.

[Miki's face instantly changes to one of stern disapproval at the mention of cake. She glares at Sakurako.]

Absolutely not.

What's wrong with cake?

I can't work somewhere that would sell something so awful as baked goods, much less be a peddler of such vile things myself.

But I like cake!

[Oh well now Miki feels bad. Sakurako isn't just some poor sap she's never met before.]

I...It's ok to like it...

I think it would go well with the coffee and tea, that's all. Lots of cafes have that on the menu, and it's easy to make.

I...I just can't bring myself to serve baked things...

Do you have some sort of baked goods childhood trauma?

No, there's just this one girl who constantly tries to kill me. She runs the bakery across the street from my mother's restaurant.

But that means she's bad, not cake!

I..I guess. Maybe I can just sell if, and have someone else make it. Like that one white haired guy. It would be ok then, wouldn't it?

Yeah! That way everyone's happy, and you make a big profit!
