[This guy. He loves to go missing, doesn't he?

His phone was left resting idly on the night table near Neah's bed. For some odd reason, it clicks on. Accidental, if anything.

It's pitch black in his room. Not a single soul, except for the sleeping parrot it his cage, and... What's this? A middle aged man? Opening Neah's room? Sure is. He doesn't look anything like Neah. Or well. What citizens of Prospero probably remember him looking like. Either way, this man steps into the room and goes immediately to the bird cage.]

Marian... [Through the video, you can see this idiot opening the cage. A cage of a bird.

A bird who's never seen his original face.

A bird who protects it's master and itself by pecking at everything.]

Ah, good. You are awake. Come here.

[The bird flies out. As if it knows him. You know.

That is until you can hear this high pitched squak.]

[well, that woke her up. And absolutely terrified her, at the same time. She fumbles for her phone, accidentally turning her own video on as she grabs it, and zooms to the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind her. It doesn't seem like Itsuki's phone turned on, for some reason, and she doesn't want to wake him...

Here you go, Neah. Have a little girl leaning against the side of the bathtub, breathing hard as if she really did just get the fright of her life. She still doesn't know the video on her phone is on, either - it's sitting next to her on the floor, so only part of her face is visible]

[Neah didn't realize that he scared her. Actually, the only reason why he heard her in the first place was because she sounded like she was hyperventilating. Poor girl. The loud sound must have scared her.

With a sigh, he walked over and grabbed his phone to see who was on the other end. He wasn't surprised to see Chitose on the other end.]

Are you alright?

[she squeaks a little in surprise, grabbing for her phone again and fumbling it, nearly dropping it, then lifting it so she can see the screen. And squints, tilts her head a bit.]

Wh-who are you?

Neah.

[The bird shut up after seeing a little girl was scared. Sure did shut up and stop flailing, yep.]

Sorry [He even apologized.]

[okay, she's squinting even more now. Surely she's seeing wrong, or this man is lying... because Neah had looked like Itsuki.]

[While he figured that she would have thought he was lying... Well. That's no surprise to him. Considering how everyone else had the same reaction.]

I apologize for Marian's actions. He is a loud bird. [Just like the person he was named after.]

It's okay... he's cute. [distracted as her mind tries to process this]

Then, if you're Neah, and this is your right body... why were you in a wrong body when we met?

[The bird thanks Chitose for the comment by flapping his wings excitedly. If only for a moment before it calms down and rests wherever he's at.]

It is a complicated story. Quite long as well. [Smiling all too pleasantly right now.] Perhaps I will tell you when it is not so late at night.

[that's when she clues in that she might be bothering him, it being so late and all, and since she comes from a place with that mindset of 'children should be seen and not heard' - she immediately starts to backpedal]

I-I'm sorry! I won't keep you up any longer, then. [bows a little, apologetic, though it doesn't really work as well when she's holding the phone]

[Tilting his head, he watched her quietly. He wasn't going to break the fourth wall or anything, seeing that he didn't want to scare her and all. Instead, he breaks his apathetic look and smiles.]

You do not need to apologize. I apologize for disturbing you at such a late hour, Miss.

[that smile relaxes her a little, and she smiles back, just a bit]

It's okay. I didn't know you were gone, but I'm glad you're back.

[~~sure do feel those cavities coming~~]

It is nice to see you again as well. I hope the city has been pleasant to you.

It's been all right. I mostly just stay inside. The outside is scary.

Mmhm. I'm still scared to go around on my own.
