After everything that has happened lately, I think it might be wise to keep from traveling alone at night. If you need someone to walk with, well these old bones could use the spot of exercise. I'm sure that there are others here that would say the same.

For those of us that do our traveling at midnight, I think that keeping in pairs or groups is already a good idea, yes? I would like to walk with some of you during that time, if you'd permit it. I'm a much better shot then I look.

A wise idea. I have been exercising the thought of a partner system or at least better communication between those willing to fight.

If we could get one organized, it would help out greatly if we ever have another incident like that of last month.

Unless someone is paired up with an unfortunate partner.

We'd have to be sure to make the pairs compatible. Though it would be a good idea for all of us stuck here to learn to trust one another.

[ She dislikes the guy more than anyone else here... but she will partner up with him if she must. To spare anyone else from doing so. ]

Were you some sort of solider in your world?

A knight. I have sworn oaths to not allow harm to fall into the lives of innocents and to defend whichever country I am sworn to with everything I have.

Ah, a real live knight. Color me a little impressed.

A rarity in your world?

Knights were primarily used back in older times where I'm from. They still exist, but it's a just a title; they don't actually do any defending.

A cheapened tradition. How insulting. Not that my ire is directed at you, no, it is directed at those who would take those oaths, then not act upon them. I hear of the wars of modern age, how soldiers go out to fight.

Do these knights do nothing then?

Dear, these knights are no more than overweight politicians and pop culture fads. They're wealthy. They hide at the call of war.

If I was capable of ill intent, I would damn their names and everything they stand for. What little that is after all. Their maker will have them pay for cheapening these honorable oaths.

I assume your time is much different than mine. You'll find most of what was once honorable, good, and worthwhile has been made into mockery in the modern age.

... And yourself? What do you think of this madness that taints the modern age?

Just that, madness. I don't think I'm from as far back as you, dear, but I remember how things were done when done right.

A shame they are hardly done properly these days. Perhaps we can teach the generations here in Prospero the true meaning of bravery and good will.

Oddly phased. I suppose the name Arthur is something a little more specific that a common first name.

It is my proper name although I prefer the title Saber above all else. Yet, there are others here by the same name.

If you prefer it, Saber it is. I don't believe I've had the pleasure of meeting anyone else my that particular title.

There is another so do not be startled. She even bears a striking resemblance to myself.

Very well. [ garviel waits in casual clothes in front of the hotel, his jacket bulging at the shoulder where he probably has a concealed pistol of some sort.

[Ingrid has her own gun tucked away in the numerous folds of her large coat. She smiles lightly when she exits the hotel, lifting a hand to wave.]

[ he pauses a moment and asks. ] Fit for war?

Of course I am. [Motions to her coat.] You'd be surprised what I've learned to move around and fight in.
