Okay, first of all, I think some of you neglected to mention that we can't fucking die. What am I supposed to think when I turn on my phone and somebody's going "oh yeah, I got murdered but I'm all better now"?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to go out and get my ass killed just to see what it's like, but that's kind of an important detail to leave out. Jesus.

[ There's a bit of an awkward pause here. He sort of doesn't have a segue for this. ]

Aaaaanyway... somebody wanna help me set up a keyboard? Some fucking Shadow dropped it, and I'm not going to ask what it was doing with my keyboard, but I'll take it. I'm in room 414 in the hotel.

Why are you apologizing? [ Even if it was fake, it wan't something he did on purpose. It wasn't something either of them could've helped. ]

But, I said all those things--- [ And didn't mean them.

That hits close to home. Way too close to home, and it hurts to think about. ]

It's fine. Even if you said those.. it's fine. I did so too, after all, right? [ even less so, but.. ] .. You know, I have someone back home. I'm engaged to him, and I love him very much, so.. if anyone was in the wrong here, even if it was accidentally, it's me.

... Hey.. Do you think the two of us meeting was a mistake? [ ... ] If it's not, then we should at least thank this place for allowing us to become friends, right?

[ O-oh. He's quiet for a moment, not sure what to say to that. There's something hesitant about his next words ]

You... you consider me a friend?

Yes, of course I do! [ and from the warmth in her tone it's easy to tell it's genuine. ]

.. Unless you wouldn't want to talk to me anymore after that, but.. I'd really, really like to be friends.

[ voice ]

No, I'd... [ Okay, he was a bit too fast on the reply. He pauses and clears his throat. ] I'd like that.

[ voice ]

[selene]

[ That makes her perk up, really. ]

Then me too..! We can just continue being friends.. that sounds nice.

Yeah. It does. [ there's a note of sincerity in his voice- just a small one, but it's there. ]
