first tablet ; a new world ; [ video ]
Enkidu opens his eyes. He was in incorrigible pain just a second ago as if his life force was slipping from him, yet all of a sudden the pain melts away. He is staring up into an odd ceiling. It isn't the City Palace.
"Is this the Underworld?" Slowly Enkidu sits up. His body feels light and surprisingly refreshed. He's definitely not in the City Palace in Uruk. "Where are the unquenchable fires? Why didn’t I cross the river?"
He looks around and notes immediately that there is a distinct lack of gold. He doesn't mind, but if Gilgamesh were here he'd certainly make an aft comment about how modest this room is. The bedding is surprisingly comfortable, however. He hops off the bed, and it bothers hiim how light his body feels. He takes a deep breath; the air is a little stuffy but clean and he smiles widely, enjoying the richness of his sudden vitality. He celebrates with some whoops and some jubilation, prancing around the room and vaulting off furniture.
His hip checks into a small table next to the bed, knocking the phone on it off the stand.

[ The video blips on and it's on its side. The setting is familiar; a hotel room like which one wakes up from when arriving. There is laughing and happy cheers as a young man with long, dark brown hair and mocha skin bounds around the room. He is smiling and certainly happy. ]
I am hearty, healthy and hale again! The illness is gone!
[ He continues laughing as suddenly a foot comes down and steps on the camera. The man immediately takes his foot off and the celebrations end. Several moments pass before he picks it up, holding it upside down with fingers over the lens. The camera shakes unsteadily as the man's hands readjust around the phone, causing the camera to panning around the room and over his body several times. He is naked. It steadies again with the shot mostly finger-less as the device is held close to the man's face. His eyes are a clear gray-blue and they glare at the lens. ]

What is this?

[action]
It is as you say. There are those that wander out in the night to fight these beasts, feeling it is their duty to do so. ...Not that I would admit this to anyone else, but I desire to defeat them as well. It's been so many years since I've had a worthy opponent. Perhaps these creatures will actually provide the challenge I've sought for so long. So I'm afraid I must ask you, my most loyal brother and friend, would you be willing to fight by my side against these beasts of darkness?
[action] ... this is starting to sound like foreplay
Of course. Enkidu, One from the clay and animals, will fight at your side once more. Let our enemies tremble before our might, let our warriors roar with victory.
[action] oh god this is turning into shonen-ai for real
I'm glad to hear. We'll make our first journey tonight, then. ...If I would have known you were to arrive so soon, I would have found a suitable lance for you. Though I'm sure you can do fine with a sword, no?
...Ah, but we have much to do before the dark hour is upon us. Get yourself dressed and I will show you around this island. It's much easier to become familiar with the layout during the day than night.
[action] - at least it's giggles and not maria looking at naked enkidu....
[ He nods, rummaging around the room, opening a door to find a large walk-in closet with nothing but suits. ]
... What sort of dress is this?...

Those are what these mongrels think are class, apparently. But they'll have to do for now. We can go shopping later on. I'm sure there has to be something to your liking at that place. I somehow managed to find something, after all.
[Because a track suit and tanktop are so clothes fit for a king right?]

... How do you wear this?...

I suppose there are many things I will have to teach you. Here.
[And now we have a hilarious scene of Gilgamesh struggling to get clothes on Enkidu or something like that. Everyone loves hilarious montages, right?]

[Error: unknown template video]
Enkidu is dressed by Gilgamesh and he steps out of the closet (rim-shot) dressed. Very well. Gilgamesh are you a wizard ]
These vestments are awkward, Brother. How else will the sun's energy nourish my body if I wear such strange garbs?

You'll grow used to them in time, just as I have. And that is what the pool is for. I'll have to take you down some time when it isn't populated by filthy mongrel children.

[ He frowns, crossing his arms. ]
My friend, a wise and great king must love the offspring of all in his kingdom.

These mongrels aren't worthy of my rule. This isn't my kingdom. You know I only care for the people of Uruk, of Babylonia.
Besides, those children are far too noisy.
