Unit 6 - Where in the Hotel gains access to a pool table. No need for a bar.

[Early one evening, if one happens to walk through the hotel lobby, they may notice something that hadn't been there when they had left through those doors.

A pool table.

Thanks to that odd offer of the powers that be to give them back something from home, Gaignun (somewhat jokingly) asked for the pool table from his office, and got it much to his surprise. It's a well loved pool table, well made with a few nicks and scratches in the wood work that speaks to the fact that it actually got used.

So there it sits, in the side of the hotel lobby, fully decked out with a sign posted saying "Free to play, just take good care of it."

It's owner, a face familiar to mosmt is right now just happily noodling around on it, making random shots. Feel free to join him, he's always up for a game.]


[[ooc: So the hotel now has a pool table, which is free for anyone to use. It's now a fixture there until he finds somewhere else to put it so feel free to appropriate it for other threads and what not.]]

Allen, you have to understand. We were specially designed to be weapons. Some of the soldiers were rather surprised, but once we proved that we were somewhat effective they just kind of went with it.

I do remember Juli Mizrahi not wanting us hurt but...we were just the best tool for the job, it just so happened that we looked like children. No one really thought of us that way, not even ourselves at the bottom of it. Citrine even commented on it once.

We were useful I guess is what I'm trying to say.

It still makes me sick how people can think like that. Even KOS-MOS, who was entirely mechanical and programmed to be a weapon got better treatment than that.

Besides, we were government funded,not to mention military backed, and you know what people view things that come from that type of money.

[Still, he has to smile at Allen's empathy. How are you from the Xenosaga universe, seriously.]

Also at this point I think people were used to genetically modified soldiers being on their battle fields.

So was KOS-MOS. *Sigh.* Sometimes I wonder if anything good actually came from the Life Recycling law.

Of course something good came of it. It proved that it was a bad idea. Sometimes you just have to go through with things to work out all the bugs.

[He doesn't exactly mind what he is. Sure his past gives him nightmares but all in all...]

And it only took two hundred years for them to figure that out...

I guess I've just been thinking a lot about how messed up some of the laws in our world actually are lately...I mentioned Personality Reconditioning to Mr. Edgeworth a few days ago and he seemed downright horrified by it.

It makes sense in theory, but it is horrifying. You're taking a person's personality and changing it. Yes it benefits the society in many ways but...I don't know.

The ethics are certainly very grey about it.

I was never exactly in support of it myself, but...I guess I just got so used to the idea that it was there that I didn't think about just how bad it really was.

No. Not hard at all really. [He's just...going to go back to shooting pool.]

You'd be surprised how easy it is to keep a secret, even if it is in the public sector.

Don't let it bother you too much Allen...there's nothing you can do about it at this point, and with the UMN down now, I doubt they'll be able to do it any more.

There will have to be a lot of structural changes, especially after all that destruction.

Hopefully, MOMO and Juli will be able to work something out.

I'm sure they will. MOMO is very capable, and now that Juli is up to pulling her full weight again, there's nothing I think that will be able to stand in their way.

The real question is, will they be able to get communications up again before Jr. goes crazy.

I hope so. He's gotten so fixated on her, and forced separation has never worked out well for him.
