One [Video]: In Which Klaus Demands Answers
[Suddenly, a video feed clicks on. The image is blurry and moving sporadically: this video is clearly accidental.]
--pears to be some sort of... oh.
[The image stabilizes somewhat. It reveals itself to be the face of an older man with absolutely ridiculous hair, looking very Perplexed but altogether Intrigued.]
Interesting. I assume this is some manner of recording or communication device, then. And if you press --
[The feed clicks off suddenly, and then returns a few seconds later.]
-- relatively simple, all things considered. If only the buttons weren't so deucedly small... but it will have to do.
I am Baron Klaus Wulfenbach and, if anyone is listening, I would like some answers. A cursory investigation of this place has made it painfully obvious that I am very, very far from my homeland and, it appears, my place in relative space-time. I would like an explanation from someone more familiar with this universe as to where I am, when I am and, perhaps, the general history of this city. It is discomfiting enough to be removed from one's home when one is in the middle of attempting to stop a war; it is far worse to be removed to somewhere that one knows nothing about. Thus, I require information, if you please, and quickly.
[And he'll just stay on the damn phone until someone answers him, too. How long can you resist that Imperious Stare, Prospero?]

I see. And what circumstances were those?

Then he just...I don't know how he did it but, managed to rip my soul out of my body. My mind's a blank after that, I'm afraid.

But in all seriousness, what you describe isn't an entirely foreign concept to me. Consciousness transferal is common where I come from, and while the existence of a 'soul' is currently debatable, it has definitely been proven that the 'self' can be ripped from the body so long as it is deposited somewhere else.
Perhaps that 'somewhere else', for you and I, is here.
[Now that would make sense. Lucrezia simply removed him from his body until she could figure out what to do with him. Lazy, but likely.]

Oh, where are my manners? My name is Saori Nakagawa. It's nice to meet you, sir.

Given that whoever is behind this seems to be able to bend time, it is very possible that they simply removed you before you became dangerous to them. You may not know your future, but it is possible that they do.
[Okay so Saori really doesn't look dangerous. But neither did Agatha...]

Maybe but I highly doubt I'd be that much of a thorn in someone's side that they'd toss me her to get me out of the picture.
If I find out anything new, I'll let you know, Baron.

And thank you. A network of information would be highly practical in this sort of situation.

It's no problem at all. Maybe I can find something while I try to get myself settled and blended with the locals. Chances are they'll open up then.
