2nd shoot [ action - video ]

[Action - mid-day]

[One can find Yuri practicing shooting at targets that she had sent up earlier in the day. This could be a common sight if there wasn't also a large crow practicing with her at similar targets placed close to hers. The two seem to be training in unison as they'd both aim at their own targets in order to practice hitting at the same time.]

Alright! We have this!

[Turning to hit her last target, Yuri ends up falling to the ground instead with her Persona being released. Rolling over onto her stomach, Yuri glances up at the sky. It's obvious to see that training has taken a lot out of her. ]

That wasn't supposed to happen..

[One can see Yuri looking a dazed at the screen, as if distracted for a moment before speaking.]

Is there a difference between using your persona during the day and during Dark Hour. I usually last a... [She breaks to let out a small cough before continuing.] It seems to be more exhausting to use it during the day than at night...

Also.., can anyone tell me more about this 'full moon'. I've heard people mention it, but I'm not certain that I get the dangers of it...

You handle that thing well enough to survive.

[Snake's folding his arms at the training comment.]

Kid, I've handled worse training than just firearms. Pretty sure I've reached the point by now that training would be pointless.

Don't really see a point in that either. He's able to take out Shadows fine, and I don't really have any plans in this place besides keeping myself alive.

The thought of finding out who my kidnapper is did cross my mind, but it's pointless to wander around in the dark. If a clue shows up, I might follow it, but I ain't a huge fan of wild goose chases.

[He goes silent for a minute before continuing.]

Plus, unlike a lot of people here, I don't have anything back home worth the effort.

To be honest, I'm still not sure what the hell the Shadows are. Don't think they had anything to do with dragging us here though.

And sorry kid, but I'm not that kind.

If we were here for the sole purpose of fighting Shadows, don't you think they'd make it to where we have no choice but to fight? I don't know if you've noticed it or not, but we're not exactly forced to.

Guess your brain isn't as bad as your aim after all.

[That's when Snake yanks out the SOCOM that he stole obtained near his first few days here, places one hand flat against the bottom of the pistol, and steadies his aim toward one of the targets. The way that his entire body goes rigid like a statue, and the fact that he doesn't so much as twitch even slightly, make the bullet whiz near-to perfectly toward the target when he pulls the trigger. After firing, only his eyes shift to look toward Yurippe.]

Hitting your targets is only part of being a good marksman. Staying cool under fire and making sure your bullet is as accurate as possible are things to keep in mind.

[Just for another example, to show his prior shot wasn't a fluke, Snake pulls the trigger two more times. These were the only bullets he was willing to waste, one hitting just inches above the prior made hole, and the other hitting just inches below. Once that was all taken care of he holstered the weapon, and dropped out of his statue-like state to face the girl.]

Then you're already on your way. Normally I wouldn't bother dealing with kids, but you don't seem like your average obnoxious brat.

If you're up to telling, I'm up to listening.

[Snake's arms are crossed and you can't really tell it by his gruff face, but his silence is enough of a sign for her to keep going.]

[The cold response in both Snake's eyes and on his face show that this isn't the worst thing he's ever heard before. This is the guy who has met and dealt with child soldiers, raised around warfare. This is also a guy who has had to deal with stuff like the newly created FOXHOUND, a bunch of freaks with a childhood as tragic if not moreso than Yuri's. After a brief moment of silence, he chimes up.]

Life ain't easy... For some, it's harder'n others. Guess the ones with the harder lives turn out to be the stronger people.
