[22: Action]

[It's the Dark Hour, in which the number of Shadows is far higher than usual, and April can be seen around the city fighting them as she usually does.

Except she just seems to be... poking at them and watching them flinch away. Since April has recently started to give anything she touches a static shock, she's apparently testing out this ability on the Shadows. Which is why she's merely poking at them and shocking them.

She doesn't look particularly amused by this, but considering she hasn't really been able to touch anything lately, that isn't surprising. So she'll just be going around and giving any Shadows she comes across static shocks.]

[Now she just becomes less grumpy and more upset.]

... S-so do I. And everything else.

But it's been around a week since this started, so maybe it might stop after this?

[Cause she really wants it to stop now.]

I hope so. It can't last forever.

Y-yeah... And I've seen others act weird lately, so hopefully it's just one of those things the city likes to pull on us.

[She raises a hand towards a lower level Shadow, who promptly backs away and runs off.]

... This is at least good for scaring Shadows though, apparently.

[Amused:] You're quite fearsome, April.

[Blink, blink. And then she giggles.] Yup, I guess I am. Shadows cower before me and all that.

[And she does just burst into laughter when another low level Shadow runs off when she was about to poke it.]

I always knew you had it in you. [A Shadow, not as smart. gets skewered.]

Hehe, thank you! It's great to see that I can make Shadows run away.

[Though she soon has to quickly dodge out of the way of an attack from a higher level Shadow, before summoning Nuts to Zionga it]

... Well, at least some of the Shadows.

[If it sticks around it's gonna get stabbed. :| ]

[And then the Shadow got stabbed before it could attack again.]

... Ehe, I'm pretty lucky to have you here. Or else fighting these things wouldn't be easy.

We've been here a long time. They hardly pose a threat to us any longer.

That's true... Though I hope we haven't jinxed it, and then next thing you know there's all sorts of new Shadows.

[She pauses, before looking up over at Caliban.]

... Plus, we haven't really explored that place entirely yet.

Should we take a look tonight?

Yeah, sounds like a plan. Especially since that place is just throwing out Shadows right now, so it might be best to take a look.

[So to the tower?]

[To the tower! Bring it, Caliban.]

[Aw yeah! Though despite being able to fight off the Shadows and going up the blocks, there's still a barricade on the fifth block, which April huffs at.]

... Huh, so we can't get any higher. That sucks.

Hm... I wonder what else we have to do to pass it.

No clue... Maybe it's a case of 'it'll open on it's own'. [Siiiigh.]

It's frustrating. ...Let's go.

... Right. Hopefully it'll open one day soon. [So back to the apartment, after some more Shadow killing?]

[Back to the apartment, where Ledah stretches out on the bed before withdrawing to give her room.]

[April sits down next to him, though when her hand brushes against his she quickly pulls it back.] Ah, sorry-

[Wait a sec.] ... I-I didn't shock you this time...

Is it over by now?

[Because that would be wonderful.]

I-I think so... [She hesitantly reaches to run her hand through his hair gently. And yep, no shocks. Now April grins happily.]

Aha, yeah, it's over!

[Then you, April, are getting squished in a hug. It's overrrrr!]

[She squeaks quietly in surprise, but quickly hugs back and snuggles closer, giggling happily.]
