*It's just after lousy-o-clock when the phone comes on, showing what seems to be Allen sitting at his desk looking bored. Only there's enough light coming in from the window to tell that he's actually translucent. He's muttering something to himself under his breath, but he's too far away from the phone for it to pick up any distinct words.

After a few seconds, though, he catches sight of the phone's screen out of the corner of his eye and sighs. Instead of pushing the chair back to stand up, however, he passes right through it and floats over to look at the phone.*

Of all the times for a malfunction...I'm not waking up to turn you off. Not when I have no clue how I even managed this here to begin with.

*He sighs and rubs his forehead as the phone turns off.*

This is...something I could do back home. Obviously I haven't been able to do it here, since this place nullifies any abilities that aren't normal or that are only normal for specific worlds, but I was thinking about it when I went to bed, and well...

*He gestures back to the chair.*

Yeah. Why wouldn't I?

Keep in mind that I know very little about any kind of supernatural ability.

Ah. Well, where I'm from at least, most superhuman abilities are under the user's control. I've heard of occasional glitches with nanomachines causing Ethers to go out of control, but things like that are a pretty small minority.

I see. And what do you use this for?

Usually I just use it to get to sleep without having to worry about what kind of dreams I'll have. I can't actually affect anything like this, so it's not good for much else.

It is. And I don't know...I as thinking about it when I went to bed, but I can't think of why it actually worked.

If we're getting our powers back...I wonder if it's a glitch in the system.

No, not really, but it's not as if I can test to see if any of mine are back.

I guess it would be easier if Dark Hour wasn't already over and you didn't have to worry about the natives getting hurt if you got something like an elemental Ether working...

So do I. I find it a little hard to believe that they're just giving us all of our abilities back for no apparent reason.

Or even if they meant to. I'm afraid we're going to have to wait for more cases to pop up to get some answers.

Apparently, some of our powers are working again.

Does this mean our captors' grip on us is loosening or is it another event tied to the full moon? I guess our best option would be record any changes over time to see any hints of that.

All I know is that this is something I could do back home. And I'm a little nervous to undo it and try again until I'm actually ready to get up, since I don't know if I'll be able to do it when I'm seriously trying.

And sorry about freaking out earlier. Normally back home if there any transparent figures lurking around, the're usual ghosts or something on the supernatural side.

Don't worry about it. I'm kind of used to people getting nervous just around people who have unusual powers to begin with. But here, let me try something.
