41: With our powers combined...[voice]

[It's the Dark Hour when Saori starts the feed. She just finished dealing with a round of Shadows, so she's slightly short of breath. It's rare for her to do an audio post but she didn't want her powers to revealed just yet.]

I've been thinking, now that we go most of our abilities back, maybe we should do a run or two into Caliban. Considering we can use them along with our Personae, we might have the potential to make major progress. If we have enough people, we might split into two groups again. One for training and the other for exploring. I'll be hanging around Caliban's entrance this whole week barring Thursday since I got a huge Thanksgiving dinner I need to make.

Speaking of which, it's going to be held at David's castle around 7. I hope everyone can make it.

And Margulis, what do you say if we have our sparring match while we still got our powers? I'm thinking either this Tuesday morning would work but I can always schedule it to your convenience. Hope you're ready to have a taste of my special "Too Hot for Hell Boxed Lunch" when I'm declared the winner.

I'm glad to hear that and I'll be looking forward to doing a sparring match with you too. Once I figure out my schedule, I'll gladly let you know when I'm available.

I can't say I expected to get my abilities back, so I'm rather looking forward to a good fight or two.

Same here, actually. It's a shame I didn't get all of mine back but I can't complain. It'll definitely make going through Caliban much easier now.

I might be in a little trouble if I regained mine fully, so I'm grateful for this much.

Do you think it's going to last?

I don't think we should assume this is a permanent thing. The timing seems a little suspicious. I'll have to check when the full moon is coming up.

I have a feeling it won't be long, but I've lost track.

We'll have to be on guard more then. And I have an ominous feeling having our powers back will come back to bite us later.

...I honestly hope you're wrong about that.

I hope so too. It just seems so fishy that we'd suddenly get them back without a catch.

Now that you bring up the subject, I'm a little concerned about something...

[Give her a second as she dodges a flurry of attacks.]

What. Do. You. Mean?

...first of all, do you need help?

I should be okay. Just a little hard to carry a phone conversation while fighting, you know?

[And that shadow got a nice knuckle sandwich after that.]

[Facepalm.]

This is ridiculous. Give me just a moment.

[And quite literally under a minute later, Lancer would be materializing out of thin air and knocking away the nearest Shadow with his lance.]

As we was saying...

[At the time Diarmuid appeared, Saori grabbed a large shadow by its face/mask and slammed into the ground. And yes there's a rather large impact crater that's left behind.]

That was fast. One of your abilities?

The class of Lancer is one praised as the most agile of Servants.

[woah dayum gurl. Diarmuid twirled his lance as if it was lighter than air, striking out to cut down two or three Shadows in one swing.]

A distance like that is nothing.

[She gives a small whistle before punching another shadow and sends it flying. She would use her main powers here but she didn't want to reveal them just yet.]

Very impressive. I didn't get my speed back but even then I think you'd still be able to beat me.

With only the utmost respect, Saori, I doubt there are many who can.

*Saori will probably be able to hear the good mood in his voice. That burning sound in the background ought to be a tipoff that he's out fighting, too.*

Your scheduling is fine, although your predictions need work.

You can expect to see me at Caliban as well. This is far too great an opportunity to ignore.

I hope wherever you have in mind is sturdy and free of civilians. I would be disappointed to have to hold back due to concerns of collateral damage.

I'm still looking for possible locations but so far I'm looking at something out of town.

[Hold on she needs to punch a shadow in the face.]

That should be suitable for this if you can find somewhere outside our range.

[Good thing she chose audio as well since her own skills don't require verbal cues either. Slicey dicey time with her smoke powers time.]

I think there's some abandoned buildings just outside the outskirts I don't think anyone will miss. Plus there's plenty of flat space available.

If you need someone to keep an eye on the training group, I could probably handle that much. Between my Ethers, my crossbow and my Persona, I should at least be able to keep them from getting in over their heads even if I probably wouldn't be much help in making quick progress.

Sounds great! What's Caliban?

Caliban is a dungeon area that shows up in the Dark Hour. It's located at the city hall. I guess you can consider it the Shadows' nest of sorts.

Taking the fight to the source sounds like just the thing we need.

That's right. We tend to go together in groups because the lower levels are home to stronger shadows. And there's sometimes loot.

Even better.

I've got lightning-based powers. A few others too, but they haven't come back yet.

Well from what I can tell, not all powers might come back but they're gradually getting stronger. Well free to come along. Like I said I'll be around mostly week so come down when you want to.

I'm willing to take a run through. I have to admit I'm curious to see exactly what I've gotten back out of my abilities...

As for Thanksgiving, I wouldn't miss it for an exploding world.

Well, mine aren't exactly the easiest to try out against Shadows, but I already feel different if that makes sense.
