[The Dark Hour was almost ending and Saori was out for some fighting against Shadows. While having her actual powers back was nice, she didn't want to fully rely on them. Ever since this event started, she couldn't help but have a nagging feeling about it. To suddenly regain powers they were denied before just seemed so fishy. ]

That should be the last of them. Oh, to all the new people who have arrived here: I'm Saori and I run the Elysium tea house. If you need a job for some cash, I'm always hiring. And we do have a special base of sorts upstairs of my store. We use it to plan out sessions to explore Caliban, this area that only appears during the Dark Hour, and also to camp out before the Dark Hour.

[While Saori was finishing up one of the last shadows, the video feed managed to pick up a tall silhouette of a man looking at her. Spoiler alert: It was David Xanatos. Suddenly there's a cloud of smoke. When it disappears, Saori's there but she's looking younger. As in she's the eight year old equivalent of her.]

Son of a --you got to be kidding me!

[And you know what they say about Murphy's law? Yep. The smoke gathers together and suddenly forms into a rather pissed off wolf that starts chasing her. Naturally Saori breaks off into a run, using her parkour/free-running skills but since the wolf is made of magic, it won't tire so easily. Her own persona, Brigid, aims some agi spells but it's still going.]

I could use some help here! Anyone got wind or water magic?!

*Kaoru wouldn't do it, normally. Probably. But seeing a little girl Minori's age running... hn. She needed to get herself sorted out.

Even so, she stood behind the next building to hide, sending a gust of wind at Saori's pursuer when they couldn't see her.*

[The smoke beast snarled and focused instead on defending itself as the gust hits it. With the wind blowing, wisps of smoke began to leak out of the beast. Without Saori's powers it wouldn't be as strong. Saori heard it and turned around to see what's going on.]

*Kaoru would probably have done a better job of hiding in the shadows if she didn't have a black-purple-red evil aura radiating off her that could be seen in part even as she hid behind the building. She bit back a comment and charged up a ball of the same energy, aiming it at the wolf. It went far too easily, ending up half the size of mini-Saori when she'd only meant to fire a small one. Why were everyone's powers going out of control?*

[Well that smoke wolf is clearly gone thanks to that wonder overkill. The energy ball vaporized it easily, leaving only a burn mark where it once was.]

That was way too close for comfort.

[She jumps over to that building to find her savior.]

Thank you but we should be careful. I should've know having our powers back was too good of a thing.

*Kaoru looks over, probably looking very creepy with the foot-thick aura of Obviously Evil radiating off her like an anti-sun. And, well, with her usual expression in general.*

Do you still need help? I'm afraid I don't have a Persona, but I could try to help anyway!

[Whatever caused her to de-age is still in effect when Saori replies.]

I-I think I'm okay. Someone took care of that thing for me. As helpful as my powers are in battle, I think I won't use them for now.

You haven't awaken your Persona yet? So you must be one of the recent people who arrived here?

Well, that's good to hear.

Oh, and yes, I just arrived here a couple days ago, so I haven't really had a chance to try the whole Persona thing yet. My name is Shion Uzuki. It's nice to meet you.

[Her smile fades just slightly, and her expression seems a little more quizzical.]

I'm sorry but in your original transmission, did you get younger?

I'm Saori Nakagawa and it's nice to meet you, Shion.

Uh yes, but not by choice as you saw. I don't have powers to de-age myself like this. So that means someone else did but...why?

I didn't know something like that was even possible... It is very strange.

It is. I only hope it's not permanent. The timing's pretty bad too. The full moon is arriving soon.

What does the full moon have to do with it?

Prior to the full moon, strange events occur like getting our powers back or shadows imitating someone significant in our lives. During the full moon however, two things can happen during the Dark Hour. There could be a sudden influx of shadows or a giant 'boss' like shadow. I'm going to be at a disadvantage if I'm not back to my regular self by then.

Oh, that would be a problem... I wish I could help somehow, but I'm afraid I don't know much about this place, or powers from other realities...

[No wind or water, just the sounds of hooves on cement as an orange blur suddenly dashes out of a nearby alley on a collision course for the wolf. A sudden twist and the new four-legged challenger has turned their rear legs to face the wolf, already up and pulling back so they can suddenly spring out in a vicious double-legged kick to the wolf's face which is a enough to send it sailing back a bit.

Applejack looks to the suddenly small Saori with a look of concern.]

Are ya okay? And just what do ya think you're doing out her at a dangerous time like now?! These shadow things ain't exactly the best playmates for a young'un!!

A-applejack?!

[For Saori, this was her first time actually seeing Applejack in her usual form. And of course, only in an 8-year old girl's body can saori get away with hugging her.]

It's me, Saori! Somehow, my body changed so I look like a kid!

[Well, get away with hugging the pony and not having to bend down awkwardly or something. And even though this is the first time they ran into each other during the Dark Hour, she wasn't expecting to see her like this causing her to blink in surprise.]

Saori? What happened? You're not normally a kid during the Dark Hour, right?

No, I'm not. I guess someone's powers went haywire and did this to me. I hope this isn't permanent though.

Someone's power... Oh! Ah remember hearing something about that earlier... Powers going out of whack, right? Huh, guess it's a good thing Ah'm not a unicorn, no telling what trouble that would cause.

Still, whoever did this to you probably can eventually undo it to you! We'll just find them and get them to fix this!

That's very true. I don't even want even think what would've happened if Twilight or even Luna was here.

[She sighs and finally lets go of AJ.]

Maybe...I don't remember anyone mentioning having such powers before and I've been here for quite some time. I don't even know where to start.

Oh... Well, maybe see if anybody else had the same thing happen to them? They might have seen who did it to them or have an idea whose power it was that's going crazy? Could try that phone thing even!

[That wolf is now frozen!wolf thanks to a handy dandy bufu spell that just went off. Saori would also find her bitty!self being yanked up and out of the way by the collar. No time for gentleness apparently.]

[Saori was about ask what just happened but then she got hoisted up. Thanks for the non-existant warning. She's going to shriek now.]

Hey! Let me go! What's the big idea?!

Getting you out of range, that's what! [The wolf gets another dose of Bufu for good measure]

[She was about to open her mouth, but the ice was about crack if it didn't get that second Bufu. She sighed.]

Next warn me when you're just gonna grab me like that, Gaignun!

[Waiiiiitt....Saori gets lifted up so that he can see her better]

Huh, do I...wait. Saori?

No, I'm the Queen of France. What do you think?!

[Yes, she's squirming around until you put her down, bro.]

[After a quick glance at the freezing level of the wolf, he'll set her down gently.]

Then what happened to you, Majesté?

[She pouts.]

I don't know, one moment I was fine but then poof! I end up like this.

It's bad enough my powers went haywire like that.

I know...I'm lucky mine are behaving at the moment. Though I have to admit...you're kind of cute when you're pocket sized.

I don't have any powers that manipulate age though! It had to be someone else's!

...Right now it's a pain though. I hope it's not permanent.

I know, I know...Though if it is one that lingers, we can always build you a little ladder and high chair for the counter work.

[He is, perhaps, having a little to much fun at his baby sisters expense.]

[She sticks her tongue out until there was that noogie. Oh man she hasn't had this much sibling stuff since, well in a quite a while, so this gets a laught out of her too.]

I'm not being mean. This is normal. [He lightens up the noogie but deliberately messes up her hair.]

And I'm sure this will wear off by the time the full moon comes about.

I never really this sort of thing much with my own brother. Had to grow up to take care of him.

[She blows the hair away from her face and messily tries to keep it away.]

I hope so too. I'd become too much of a handicap with my current size.

Ah, I know how that is...[He had to do something rather similar for Rubedo, even though he was the youngest]

Being small is not exactly a huge handicap, you just have to figure out ways around it.

Hmm...maybe not during the Dark Hour, but what about outside of it? Knowing the locals, they probably would think I abandoned the shop and send me off to school or something because of my size.

You never know. You can always submit a 'written' document of transference of the shop and ask someone to play your 'guardian'
