He wastes no time in starting to speak, deciding that this is no time for formalities. While Kiritsugu Emiya would normally opt to reveal himself only through a voice, he no longer believes himself to have any real enemies, and he wishes to see the faces of other people trapped in this place.]

I gather we're in the United States, or at least a technologically superior version of it.

However, apart from a name, I haven't gathered any details regarding this city. At this point, I would like to ask: what is going on?

[Kiritsugu's still shaking off the shock (and he's a very hard man to surprise). He begins speaking slowly, unsure how to approach this situation.]

I can't really say the same. I just saw you yesterday.

[Kiritsugu doesn't say it out loud, but he can guess the meaning behind Shirou's words. After all, he has felt himself slowly dying since the day of the fire. He recognizes how impossible it is for him to ever see his son like this back in his world.]

Should probably go inside. Witnessing this 'Dark Hour' so soon would be unwise. Would you be willing to head back to the hotel with me?
