Somebody once compared a beautiful woman to a dove, and that's okay, but I don't think it was really accurate. If we kept with the avian comparisons, then I think a lot of people are like geese. Geese are everywhere, but they still think their space is special. If you annoy a goose it'll start honking and biting and it'll be a mess. I really don't like geese much at all.

People like Lancer, Asuka, Saber - off the top of my head - are way more like swans. Swans are rare, they're beautiful, and if you piss them off you are screwed. This is my service to you guys, more important than killing Shadows: I'm telling you, do not mess with swans. You guys could take swans in single combat, I'm sure, but it isn't worth the trouble.

[He sighs.] Is Lancer still mad at me, by the way? Seriously...

Uh, I'm not sure where I was going with that extended metaphor. Like I said, I'm really bored.

Well, that's a pretty good way to go about things. If you don't hold a grudge from that of all things, you must be some kinda - what was the word again... - saint, or something.

It's a really silly metaphor, is what it is.

All metaphors are kinda silly when you think about 'em. That's what makes them so fun to create though.

If we'd compared me to the pope, I could have pictured myself in a fancy hat. Do saints ever get fancy hats?

Oho. We're more apt to accept the silly metaphor if we can net a glamorous hat in the process, are we? Though realistically, I think your hat status is determined by you and only you.

I'm a guy of simple tastes, and one of them is having a nice hat. So you mean that it doesn't matter what the hat is if I wear it like it's cool?

Only made-up-as-far-as-I-know ones. Say someone taped knives to a beanie? Dangerous. They could fall off and hurt the wearer, or someone else. Tripping could be a tragedy.

Yeah, I think if you're going to kill someone you could at least do it right, or they'll feel offended besides feeling dead.
