[It was strange that she felt like talking all of a sudden; especially when it's about herself. April never liked talking about herself, she was... alright, she wasn't okay with keeping stuff bottled in, but she did it anyway.

But now she felt like she really wanted to. So, she turned on the video feed, her expression oddly serious for once.]

... Y'know, even though this place can be pretty boring and quiet, I really like it here to be honest; it's way better than home... Ah, my home is basically one big wasteland with nothing but ruins, not exactly a nice place and it's pretty dangerous, since anything that moves will probably try to kill you. [She frowns a bit as she says that. This felt weird and a part of her wanted to stop before she said too much, but she just couldn't.]

Aha, it's probably stupid of me to want to stay here, huh? And I really shouldn't want to. Back home, I've... got this goal I need to achieve, and a lot of people are counting on me to achieve it and I need to go back... I don't want to go back, but I need to... Ugh, I'm being pretty selfish, but I just... [A sigh.

And she frowns some more as she reaches to rub her forehead, before there's the sound of something falling behind her, prompting a small squeak and her quickly turning around. It seems like one of her many towers of books have fallen over but that's what happens when you have waaaaay too many of them.]

... Whoops.

I guess I'm just... tired. I've been fighting and planning and killing for years, and I don't think it will end for a long time. But I have to keep going, since achieving my goal is something I want to do and it's what motivates me, basically. [She kinda slumps in her seat a bit, her frown deepening a bit more.]

A goal like that isn't completely foreign to me. I believe that it's worth the effort.

[She straightens up a bit in her seat as she nods.]

Yeah, you're right and I know that it's worth it. If I can achieve it, then... well, it'll pretty much change everything back home. I just have to try to keep going.

Good. Continue to believe in that.

I will... thanks, Ledah, for listening to me. I owe you one. [Even though there was still a lot of other things on her mind, it felt relieving to talk about something.]

... Wait, before you mentioned that a goal like mine isn't foreign to you... Is it alright if I ask what it is?

...I want to serve, and to uphold the will of the gods. However, as I've said, that means a sacrifice. Even without losing my emotions, I still would have had to live only to fulfill my duty.

A-aha, then I'm guessing being brought here has been a massive change... [April frowns a bit more, since she's not being good with words right now.]

All of this seems unnecessary. ...And yet, I find myself enjoying myself here, and not certain of how to feel about that.

[She's silent for a moment as she thinks of what to say.]

I don't think there's anything wrong with enjoying yourself here, so long as you keep fighting and trying to find a way back home... Sorry, I'm probably not helping much...

[She wanted to try to help in some way though...

The library. [She must know how to get there, of course.]

[Nod, nod. Since she spends so much time there, she pretty much knows the way there by heart.]

Okay... I, um, need to see you in person for something, so I'll be there soon.

[And so away to the library she goes and it doesn't take her long to find him.]

Hello, April. [He nods his head at her.]

[She smiles a bit and nods back, before walking a bit closer though she seems to be fidgeting a bit.]

I, um... is it okay if I try something?

Go ahead. I trust you.

[It's only after he says that that he realizes - he does trust her. He doesn't usually trust anyone but himself.]

[April just stares at him in shock for a moment, before smiling and giving a nod.

So, she steps a bit closer and wraps her arms around him in a hug.]

[He hadn't expected that. He stiffens, before relaxing just a little.] April...?

[She gives a small, sheepish laugh, before moving away a bit.]

It's just... I thought maybe a hug would help, s-since you seemed unhappy before...

[And another sheepish laugh as she rubs the back of her neck.]

No, I understand the purpose. Thank you.

[This is strange and a little embarrassing.]

[Sheepish April is pretty sheepish, but she nods again in reply. Though after a moment she tilts her head slightly.] ... You okay?

"I'll live" is the right turn of phrase.
