In most cases, such a disruption as this would be a cause of great annoyance, but for the time I suppose such might be tolerated. Even if he is passionate about his work, a director must spend some time away from the stage. I am expecting, of course, that this vacation, as we might call it, should at least prove interesting.

To those of you who were also brought here, greetings. I am known as Wilhelm. I've been observing a few of the other communications made open over the device, and have the basic gist of where I am: a town named Prospero, located in the United States during the early part of the 21st century. I am, however, still curious as to why, or at least as to how much you all might know as to why we're here.

I have a feeling whoever our hosts are, they have not been altogether forthcoming with their reasons.

They vary in appearance and weaknesses. Weaponry will work, but most here can call upon the assistance of a 'Persona', a spirit summoned from the mind to aid in battle.

[And he does. It's quite similar to traditional Jungian psychology, or at least utilizes the terms.]

And is there a specific means or trigger to summon them, or does such merely occur?

The first summoning is caused by a high stress situation, while after that one can call them at will.

Understood.

And they're loyal to their summoners, then? Entirely so?

They seem to not have a will of their own.

[Because they are essentially the wills of the summoners themselves, he's guessing.]

Those who have arrived here have them or are likely to gain them; the natives know nothing of the matter.

Logically, then, it would seem the natives lack a potential that we seem to possess. Which could be the reasoning for bringing us here.

As sensible an explanation as any other.

Do you have any theories as to explain it? I'm curious what others who've been here longer might think.

I'm not one much for philosophy, and I would rather have more evidence before I make an informed guess.
