[ Saber is seen tangled up in a red blanket (which she totally pilfered from Gilgamesh's abandoned home) with a pair of lion cubs licking the other's face and neck, one of them slightly larger than the other. It seems the larger one enjoys the blanket as it continually rubs it's nose against it, neglecting attention to the younger cub. Saber herself seems to be doing well. Hard to believe she was killed just a while back. ]

It seems people come and go here as often as the sun sets. [ Casually spoken without a hint of despair to it. ] Is there anyone you have noticed that has gone missing? This is a realm where death is a cruel joke, hardly to be taken seriously at all, but it still pains one's heart all the same. The same with people who leave here. If you require protection during your stay, no matter how brief or long it may be, I ask that you seek me out. I am with my knights within this place and can assign a chosen to assist you.

[ A pause, almost as if she wants to speak on something else. Instead, she shakes her head and cuts the feed. ]

[ Her head moves back a bit as she withdraws from him, soft lips against his neck briefly, hands traveling up and away from his shoulder. ]

This is why you make a good knight, Lancer. [ Simplicity was something she prefers in the end. ] You need not be proper when addressing me for as of this moment, we are equal, and nothing less.

[ Bounce, bounce goes the cheap bed as she moves to the opposite edge that Lancer sat on. Swiftly and with the air of grace she always has about her, she moves to kneel before the seated man. ]

[ Well, that simplicity thing only works when people address her. As for herself, she must be as valiant and respectable as can be. ]

[Lancer might have felt for a moment that his words were remarkably inadequate in comparison. But no, he reminded himself that she was royalty. Of course she would have spoken at more length; formality was expected of someone like her.]

[Regardless, he was actually a little surprised--possibly even genuinely touched by how she spoke. At that moment (and not for the first time) he found himself able to forget they had ever been enemies. They were simply knights swearing an oath, if only because they didn't know what other path to take.]

That comes as a relief. For a moment I wondered what I would have done with myself if you changed your mind and decided against this.

I feel we should do something significant to mark this particular occasion, Admittedly there isn't much we can do at the moment, but I could make an attempt at cooking something special if there was anything you wanted.

[ Moving back to her feet only to sit in the spot he previously occupied on the bed, she watches him quietly. Anything she had to say was already spoken on in her oath to him, so now she was left with this peaceful silence. Hardly awkward nor punishing. ]

[Lancer seemed remarkably at ease now that he'd said all he needed to--there was even a small unguarded smile on his face as he started working.]
