[Some nights, the Dark Hour is noisier than others.]

[While the shadows normally remain silent unless actively attacking those able to wander the dark hour, on this night the port area all but resounds with the shrieks of an all-too familiar shadow. A Visceral Maya, bane of those who find themselves new to Prospero.]

[What's peculiar is that the vocalizations almost sound frustrated or scared, as much as a Shadow can emote such things.]

[And unfortunately for anyone with their phone on-hand, the source of the noise just started getting broadcast over the network. The camera, activated via falling-to-the-ground judging from the angle, shows a man pinning a very displeased Visceral Maya to a building with a stopsign while muttering to himself.]

-n't even die right when I kill 'em, huh? Bah, not like it's the weirdest thi- eh? What's this?

[He keeps the shadow pinned against the building, reaching down to pick up and subsequently peer into the phone as a lazy smile crosses his features.]

Yo. Anyone there?

I was referring to Gilgamesh. I don't really know your Archer.

Kind of a jerk. No one can figure out what he's thinking. No sense of pride.

Funny, now that I think about it that description sounded like Gilgamesh up until the end.

Must be a trend in the class or something.

Neither of them seemed to like bows all that much, that's for certain.

Now I wonder what the other classes have in common. What was your Saber like?

She says she was in both the fourth and fifth wars, so I assume much the same as I remember her; a strong, resplendent knight with just as much power in her words and actions as in her blade.

I've noticed she acts a bit differently than I recall--I suppose that's due to the influence her most recent Master seems to have had on her.

Summoned into two wars? I can't tell if that girl's blessed or cursed.

I actually got that impression from a couple of the Servants I spoke to, strangely. I still don't understand it, that's really not the kind of response I had expected.

Well, if I had to guess? It's just a basic difference in how we go about our beliefs. Me? I don't have anything against Saber -- well, I wouldn't mind finishing our fight, but that's just principle.

I hate to tell this to someone I respect so highly, but I'm afraid I'm the only one allowed to defeat Saber.

Well, I suppose you would have the right, granted to you from having crossed blades with her first.

Besides, if what you're telling me is true there are plenty of our fellows here other than just Saber. Maybe I'll get my wish after all.

I appreciate it. And honestly, one doesn't need to look far for a half-decent fight around here. Between the Shadows and the occasional person causing trouble, it's not half bad once you get used to it.

Heh, I hope the other Shadows put up more of a fight than that one; if it wasn't for that weird toughness, it wouldn't have survived very long at all. As for the people... well, you can't tell me you're surprised: there's always trouble-makers.

Surprised? Hardly. I'm simply irritated that some of the worst ones seem to be collecting here.

Sounds like you've got some history with them. Can't say I knew your Archer as well as my own, but I can see him inspiring that kind of reaction.

While my problems with Gilgamesh are several, I have more issue with the fourth Caster and the one who summoned him. As well as Saber's previous Master, but that's more my personal problem rather than him posing an actual threat.

Heh, much as I'd like to grill you for some more information, I've got nothing I can really offer in trade.

That said, if your Caster was dangerous to bystanders, then we've found the common trait for that class of Heroic Spirit.

...yours was as well? She seemed remarkably civil. At any rate, my war's Caster and his Master, Ryuunosuke, are both cold-blooded murderers. I don't know for sure exactly how many they killed in Fuyuki, but it was a considerable number. Never mind what Caster himself did in our last fight against him.
