[private video to Saber]
...Saber, what are you doing this weekend?
[A; video; afternoon]
It's apparently said that you should 'never meet your idol'. It's sound logic, if one wants to avoid disillusionment.
But on the other hand, maybe it's not such a bad idea after all. You might be pleasantly surprised, right? Even if you'd put that person on a metaphorical pedestal, surely they'd meet some of your expectations one way or another.
Sorry, I think I'm rambling. Is everyone alright after that full moon nonsense?
[B; action; evening]
[Lancer didn't really like returning to an empty hotel room. Sure, it had been easy enough to deal with when he'd first arrived, but he'd gotten far too used to Saber's presence. More so than he should have, he recognized that much. But even in his lifetime he had rarely been alone, even when living as what amounted to a fugitive. It was a difficult thing to get used to, he realized.]
[So that's probably why he was currently sitting in a bar with a glass of god only knew what in his hand. Sure, he wasn't talking to anyone and sure, Ryuunosuke was probably screwing around in the same building, but at least the place wasn't empty. Maybe that was all he wanted.]

I'm okay. Kind of moping right now, but okay.
[Video]
And what reason, dare I ask, do you have to be despondent?

[ Even if she had plans, they were now formally dismissed. Instinct is telling her that he's about to ask her something that's of significant importance. ]
private;
I'd like to finally finish what we started in Fuyuki. In a less fatal capacity, of course--I'm really not looking for a casualty on either side.
private;
[ Honestly, she should have seen this coming. Maybe a part of her (one she often denies) was hoping that things had changed. In the end, Diarmuid Ua Duibbhne only thinks of her in one way.
It was foolish of her to consider otherwise. ]
You fear death? [ Because saying it any other way may show weakness. ] The gauntlet had been thrown prior with conditions already in place. If you want to finish that duel, then finish it with the same rules, Lancer.
private;
[He didn't want to finish it like that. Not anymore. Would it be cowardice to simply say so? Or would he risk a loss and mortal injury by hesitating to strike her down when the chance came?]
...Saber, I don't think I can do that.

[He's thinking of those he knows, like Allen, and others he haven't seen around lately.]
And we need to keep an eye on the moon's cycle for next month while preparing ourselves.

...We really should stop meeting like this.
[So an Englishman and an Irishman are sitting in a bar... it's like the start of a bad joke, the kind that probably ends in a sexual pun.]

[Just one sexual pun? I doubt that.]

[Time for a gin and tonic that lasts two hours and a cigar.]
Good to see that you survived all of the madness that's been happening recently.

Same to you. Though I like to think it would take more than that to kill me.
