2nd Delivery: Mischeif and Victory | Action & Phone

Action
[Sometime in the afternoon, Miki can be seen sneaking out from behind an alley behind the pizza shop a certain [livejournal.com profile] genius_idiot works at. She is carrying a wrench and chuckling evilly to herself as she sneaks away.]

Phone
[Later on in the day, while working the counter at Prospero Packages, the courier company she delivers for, Miki is messing around on her phone whenever there isn't someone inside who wants to make copies or have a package delivered.]

"Halloween was fun, but I think it lacked something. There wasn't a race to see who could finish fastest, or a competition to get the best candy. I don't know what this Thanksgiving thing coming up is but I'm sure it's probably just as boring. I think we need to liven it up with some kind of competition that I will win."

So you wear the mask to hide who you are? Why would you do that? I mean, from the sound of it you personally want the loser to know who won...

Sounds like you've got a trophy collection started back home, and you're looking to start a second one up.

[Miki. Doesn't sound too horribly proud of that. Topic channnnnge.]

So, what is this Thanksgiving thing about, and what do you think you could do to make up a challenge that goes along with the theme?

Hmm, a feast? Maybe it's some kind of harvest festival or something... Eating contests baking contests, general contests of skill. We'd do that sort of stuff for harvest festivals back home.

Well it's kind of a general term here, I guess. You got what I meant though.

Hmm, would they be eating their own confections, or would the baking and eating contests be completely separate?

That sounds like a recipe for disaster, stomach-aches, and probably vomiting in some form or another...

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-11-15 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
In that case I predict you might as well have a food-related endurance contest while you're at it.

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-11-16 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I was thinking more along the lines of an 'iron gullet' contest or something. Wouldn't even need a separate section for it.

[Miki. Miki why.

Sigh.]

Guess I'll stop being coy -- I'm implying that speed baking and speed eating mixed might create foods unfit for human consumption, and the speed eating portion would make things become tragic fast.

Unpleasant and unhygienic. I'd take a pass, personally.

Just retool the idea behind the contests a bit and things wouldn't be half bad.

But that is the best kind of promise in this situation

Hey, all I'm saying is the less gastrointestinal distress, the more likely people are to look back fondly at the event.

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-11-19 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Err. I thought the point was to win, not to cause grievous bodily harm?

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-11-21 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Easy, girl. Is it really that much fun to sock someone in the jaw?
