*Allen's escaped violence from his Shadow, if mostly by missing the chance to talk to and deny it, but still looks a little on the tired side as he posts.*

Duplicates claiming they're us, then attacking. There go my hopes that whatever that voice was talking about at least wouldn't be trying to kill us.

Ah, if anyone's hurt and can get to the hotel at midnight, I'd be willing to share some healing Eth-um, spells. As long as I don't get my own homicidal twin, anyway.

Who knows? Maybe it depends on what the people they're copying are like and how much of a fuss they put up. The only one I saw attack that didn't seem pretty disgusted with the real one had a pretty big argument with him.

An argument? I see. Maybe it would be wise to keep things peaceful then? We just don't have enough data on this, do we.

No. We don't even know what they want, if they even want anything at all aside from spouting a bunch of nonsense about the people they look like.

I wonder if it's going to be like that for everyone...and if it's nonsense like you say, eventually one of them is going to hit on something true.

It's probably too early to tell. But you have a point...mine was right about me not having been in contact with my family. But it's not because they'd think I'm a joke.

There may be an element of truth in anything they say or it may have been a random guess. I don't know.

I don't think it was guessing, at least not about events.

So what it said was true to a point then. [His voice is non judgmental and encouraging. While this may feel like prying to Allen, Gaignun is really after the general knowledge of how much do the shadow's know because no one seems to actually be talking about that.]

How much was true Allen?

It was wrong about me being afraid to stand up for myself or contact my family. And I am not a joke at Vector.

All of it. I see. If that's true then it may be true for the other shadows as well, which may be how they're interacting with the people they are mimicking.

That voice said we would be facing ourselves...it would make sense if they had all of our memories, if they want us to think they are us.

I have to be honest and say I really don't like the sound of that. [...his brothers are screwed. SO SCREWED. Never mind himself if that's the case.]

Allen, I trust you to keep your head together. I'm probably going to have my hands full with the twins if this is true and their shadows pop up. Can you look after MOMO? I know she'll probably try to help but...

Of course. This is probably something you want to deal with yourselves, right?

If at all possible. But more then their pride I worry for her safety. [Jr. doesn't think when he's upset and Albedo is still really unpredictable. Who knows what is going to go down or what things are going to be aired out.]

Thank you. [This, he hoped, would also serve to keep Allen out of trouble as well. Still, both MOMO and Allen had this weird luck that landed them in the thickest of situations, but he was hoping Allen's common sense and experience playing sheep herder would hold them in good stead.

It's no problem. Just take care of yourself too, alright? We don't really know what all sets these things off yet, and I wouldn't put it past Jr. to pull something rash and find out the hard way.

[Gaignun groaned and rubbed a temple] That, I am afraid, is an almost certainty.

*He'd pat you on the shoulder if this was in person. If Gaignun knows family issues, Allen knows dealing with impulsive trouble magnets.*

Good luck. I'd offer to help keep an eye on him myself, but I'll probably have my hands full with MOMO if Jr. does get in trouble.

Don't worry about him, just keep your mind on MOMO. Call it a division of labor if you will. [He snorts a bit, his easy good humor returning.]

I hope this turns out better than when I ask Togashi to help me stay on top of the paperwork and I end up doing it all anyway.

It will, MOMO is thankfully a lot more responsible then your coworker sounds.

I'm just worried that she'll refuse to stay out of things if Jr.'s duplicate causes trouble for him.

I know. There is probably no keeping her completely away from the action, but try to do as much as you can. If you have to you can always tell her that Jr would throw a fit if she got hurt because of him.

Maybe it could work both ways, too. Tell Jr. MOMO would be disappointed in him if he got into trouble he didn't have to.

That's a good point. [Gaignun knew that at the core, Jr was a protector, and with Ziggy not here he had probably taken full responsibility for her guardianship.]

Still, try to keep her from the worst of it if you can.
