[The screen would flicker on with the sound of a few things hitting the wall. It would seem that something had knocked the device to the floor with some force and accidentally powered it on. Though whoever might be listening is getting a view of the ceiling, a particularly irritated voice can be heard ranting about her current circumstances.]

...unforgivable. Absolutely unforgivable. When I find out who is responsible for this, I'll tear their heart out and feed it to them.

[Another broken cup, perhaps? Either way, it's in pieces, now. Seems like it's taken some of the wind out of her sails, though.]

No furniture. No Ronove. No magic. What kind of hellhole is this? M...maybe this is hell. ...No...but this definitely isn't Rokkenjima.

[And then the device on the floor caught her eye. To the viewer, the angry voice would give way to a stately looking blonde with an inquisitive stare.]

A tape-recorder...?

That's kind of an odd name, Ronove. I've seen it before, but it wasn't quite the kind of thing I'd figure someone would name their child after.

I suppose it can't be helped. This room may not be the most luxurious, but at least it's comfortable. It'll do until I build myself up here.

I should hope there are no children with the name of a demon.

It's an odd name, but quite fitting for him. He's very proper as far as his kind are concerned.

I'd be more skeptical about that claim if there wasn't so much sorta-demonic summoning going on already.

That and the 'Golden Witch' thing. Seems like a suitable title for someone who'd summon a... what was it, marquis of hell?

I'm more surprised that he's an excellent chef, now that I really think about it.

Is it so surprising? He's my butler, so he'd have to be good at such domesticity, right?

Of course, if it sounds better, he's excellent in battle.
I'm just more accustomed to calling on other furniture for that kind of task.

No no, it makes sense. But when you put it that way I'm getting a fun mental image. A dapper gentleman, teacup and saucer in one hand, both perfectly balanced without spilling a drop. The other hand is busy throwing punches or what have you. Cravat, monocle, suit -- his butler-y raiment in general doesn't have a hint of disarray in the least as he battles on.

[She pauses, asking almost shyly.]

What's the difference between black tea and... err, other forms of tea? Never really been all that learned on that subject.

He's very proper, but he's not stuffy or anything.
He jokes and pokes fun. He just does it in a very dignified way.
It's hard to explain.

[She taps a finger to her chin just a moment before answering.]

Black tea tastes a bit stronger than regular tea. It's bold and rich.
It really depends on what you blend it with. I like mine with milk and sugar.

He pokes fun? At you, even? Sounds like it tests the master/servant relationship a bit, but I dunno. A bit of verbal sparring is much better than stony silence. More fun, too.

It's still less bitter than coffee, I hope. Tea just seems to have more flavor than the other stuff, usually.

He keeps me grounded...as much as I can be.

Oh, much less bitter. I actually prefer mine to be on the sweet side.
I'm also a great fan of tea parties. Have you ever been to one?
