[The screen would flicker on with the sound of a few things hitting the wall. It would seem that something had knocked the device to the floor with some force and accidentally powered it on. Though whoever might be listening is getting a view of the ceiling, a particularly irritated voice can be heard ranting about her current circumstances.]

...unforgivable. Absolutely unforgivable. When I find out who is responsible for this, I'll tear their heart out and feed it to them.

[Another broken cup, perhaps? Either way, it's in pieces, now. Seems like it's taken some of the wind out of her sails, though.]

No furniture. No Ronove. No magic. What kind of hellhole is this? M...maybe this is hell. ...No...but this definitely isn't Rokkenjima.

[And then the device on the floor caught her eye. To the viewer, the angry voice would give way to a stately looking blonde with an inquisitive stare.]

A tape-recorder...?

A king being summoned as a servant? I've heard of summoning demons to serve you, but not heroic figures.

Heroic spirits are summoned as Servants by Magi, not witches. Still, they are quite powerful to be able to summon us, that much is true.

I wonder why a Magi would go through so much effort to call you forth.
Certainly it can't be for some menial tasks.

No, we are not summoned for household chores or anything of the like. You could say we are summoned for a war, a battle between heroes from throughout the ages with a prize for the last one standing.. the Holy Grail.

So a group of these Magi get together, summon their respective furniture and battle them to the death? All for this Holy Grail? What does this item do exactly? I've heard of it, but it's another thing entirely to hear from someone fighting so fiercely for it.

It allows the combination of two - magus and heroic spirit, Master and Servant - who win the battle to make a wish of any kind.

It would certainly be enough to wake me from my sleep, that's for sure.

And had you decided what your wish would be when you took up arms with your master~?

Of course. Each Servant has a reason to fight for, their own wish. Although.. those are usually kept more to themselves rather than given out.
