[Today is April's birthday, and while April has never even really celebrated her birthday before, she thought that after that whole 'fighting with your doubles and face your issues' thing, it would be nice to have a bit of fun. So, she decides to buy one new dress for herself (since it's thick enough to protect against the cold), and also decides to buy this thing called a 'kite'. It had caught her eye when she was walking past the store and after asking the store owner about it, it sounded like it could be fun.

So, she's found a large-ish open area in the park and is now trying to fly the kite. 'Try' being the keyword here since she manages to keep it in the air for a while before it crashes into a nearby tree... o-or into anybody nearby. So if you're in the park today and see a kite crash land into a tree or get whacked in the back of the head by a kite, the sheepish looking redhead is the reason behind it.]

[She takes a moment to suppress her urge to squee at the dog, and instead gives them both a sheepish look.]

[He reaches for the ball, findign it rolled just out of reach.]

...Say, would you mind either tossing me that ball, or lobbing it off as far as you can?

[She blinks at him, before blinking at the ball and giving him a nod.]

Ah, okay. [Welp, just gonna pick it up and throw it, and since she's stronger than she looks, she can throw it pretty far.]

[That suits Lancer just fine, as, in a flurry of paws, fluff, and glee, the pooch hops up off him and bounds away in search of the holy grailtennis ball.]

[Lancer himself hops up and brushes himself off, grinning at April.]

Much obliged. What's that with the string?

[April watches the giant ball of fluff chase after the ball with a faint smile, before her attention returns to Lancer.]

Hmm? Oh, it's a kite, a toy that you fly using the wind... But I'm not doing too well with actually keeping it in the air.

Not a whole lot of wind today. Lesse...

[He'll just pick up the kite and give it a look-over.]

Is it supposed to face the wind in any particular direction?

Alright then... Ready to give it another shot?

[Lancer grins and, after a pause, lobs it high into the air, angling his throw to catch the wind best as possible.]

[April was just about to answer, when Lancer lobs the kite into the air and she flails for a moment, before righting her grip on the kites string so that it flies properly.]

Aha, got it!

[She gives Lancer a small grin, before her attention goes back to the kite. Though after a while, she looks around curiously, to see if the dog has returned yet.]
