[Today is April's birthday, and while April has never even really celebrated her birthday before, she thought that after that whole 'fighting with your doubles and face your issues' thing, it would be nice to have a bit of fun. So, she decides to buy one new dress for herself (since it's thick enough to protect against the cold), and also decides to buy this thing called a 'kite'. It had caught her eye when she was walking past the store and after asking the store owner about it, it sounded like it could be fun.

So, she's found a large-ish open area in the park and is now trying to fly the kite. 'Try' being the keyword here since she manages to keep it in the air for a while before it crashes into a nearby tree... o-or into anybody nearby. So if you're in the park today and see a kite crash land into a tree or get whacked in the back of the head by a kite, the sheepish looking redhead is the reason behind it.]

It's a kite, a toy that can be flown using the wind... I'm, uh, not good at controlling it yet though. [That much is obvious since she smacked him in the face with it by accident.]

[She shakes her head, and gives a few tugs on the string to bring the kite back to her. Though it seems to want to stay in the tree, prompting a small sigh from her.]

Not really, but I'm hoping I can get better with practice... But at least I can get it to fly for a bit before it crashes.

Wow, I haven't seen anyone fly a kite in a long time. I thought that they were able to stay up longer though.

Ehe, thanks. I think the next time I do this, I should go somewhere that doesn't have trees.

[Nope. He's too busy, mere moments before collision, getting tackled to the ground by an enormous brown dog. (http://i41.tinypic.com/30xadk2.jpg) Said dog, well over two feet tall at the shoulder, looks immensely pleased with itself and drops a tennis ball in his face, barking contentedly before looking up at April and wagging it's tail.]

Yeah, yeah. You caught the ball. Now move so you can give it another chase... eh?

[He spots the kite string, and follows it to the source. There's a Newfoundland and a Murderhound looking at you curiously now, April. The latter doing so upside-down.]

[ LUCK A STAT SAVES THE DAY. Aka the kite flies just past his head, landing on the ground. It's enough to make him turn though, and he understands the situation when he sees April looking sheepish in the distance.

Luckily David is nice enough to just pick up the kite so he can walk over and give it back to her. ]

[Saori was in the park, checking up on a tiny white kitten she found one day. It was still shy around her but she persisted. This time she brought over a treat for the animal. She had gotten it to take food from her hand when the kite decided to smack her in the head. Frightened the kitten ran into the bushes to hide. Saori picked up the kite and looked around for its owner.]
