[ Enjoy the sight of what appears to be the tongue of a feline licking at the lens with the start of this call. After a few laps, it'll be discarded on the floor to show a hotel room with a few boxes scattered around. Boxes of green and red, containers of ornaments and the sort. A lion cub pounces on one of them in the distance (presumably the one who was gnawing on the phone earlier), earning the attention of it's master.

It's master who was knelt before a tree barely over two feet tall with an ornament in hand. Glancing lazily towards the cub, she has a distant look in her eyes. A solemn appearance as always, Saber moved to hook the tiny figure on a barren branch. Letting her hands fall to her side, her gaze focuses on the tree as she refuses to move. Seemingly lost in her thoughts, she remains solitary until the video feed times out. ]

[ A couple hours after midnight, Saber will use her phone once more. ]

Is it acceptable to give a gift to someone with whom you may not be on good terms with? The concept of this holiday is not entirely lost on me. However, I do not wish to offend. Any advice would be appreciated.

[ It's as simple as that. Even if the Shadow of Diarmuid had a weaker hold on her, it was one still present in her life. Would it remain like so for the rest of eternity? It's hard to tell, isn't it? Does a curse ever fade? ]

Unrequited love is part of my history after all. [ Boy does that curse bring out the bitterness in people. ] Please do not concern yourself with my well being.

[He stared straight at her, a pained and stricken look in his eyes.]

[ Ah, that smile he's probably used to seeing. It's the first time in weeks she's done so. ]

Things have grown really complicated between us. So permit me to ask.. how does one break this curse? If you claim my feelings stem from that, then it should become our priority.

The curse held by my Shadow should, to my knowledge, have been dispelled upon his disappearance. Gae Buidhe's curse was broken when he vanished, so I have no reason to assume that would not do the same.

[He glanced away, not daring to look directly at her.]

[ That she was legitimately in love with him? No. It couldn't be. Her love was Shirou Emiya. A boy who sought to protect her and make her happy. Lifting a hand to the side of her head, she tries to stop the dizziness with it.

Naturally, there's no aid for the thoughts and the vertigo that comes with it. ]

I died for running away with another man's beloved, and I would sooner die again than cause anyone else heartbreak. Especially you--I would give my life in a moment if it meant I would spare you from pain.

Please...please, forgive me. I've caused so much trouble again. I don't want to break anyone else apart.

[ Plopping right down in front of her tiny Christmas tree. It's hardly decorated, but now it's a project for another day. Now she has to sort this out. ]

[ If his intent was to make her feel better, it was hardly working. In fact, she's probably more ashamed of the situation than anything else. Sitting silently, she'll brood in place, trying to think of a resolution right now and thinking little of anything else. ]
