[ If you happen to decide to visit the bookstore today (or, you know, you work here), you'll notice there is a fairly large amount of books laying in front of the store, as if they were tossed out with little care. We're talking piles of books, guys. You can probably take them if you want, because it doesn't seem anyone is actually paying attention to what the hell is going on. Just be careful if you walk into the store, because you may or may not be pelted with even more books. Why? Because Gilgamesh. Do we really need to say more? He's been busy going through literally every book in the store, and discarding any he finds offensive. You can already tell where this is going, right?

Gilgamesh. In the bookstore. Disposing of books. While wearing this. Yes, your worst nightmares have come true. Gilgamesh is the new owner of this fine establishment, much to the horror of two certain servants who just so happen to work here part-time. How will they react? How will you react? [ Catching the most recently tossed book with an annoyed look is one Saber. ]

Your behavior is unacceptable.

[ Paying no mind to her, nope. Just gonna keep tossing books! ]

[ She'll only attempt to catch the books she's certain she can grab. Some fall, but none of the ones she reaches out for will. Promised victory and all. ]

You cannot just throw out the merchandise! Do you intend to pay for the texts you have ruined?

[She was in the bookstore, hoping to get an idea for gifts. Although it's hard to do that when there's the sound of books being thrown to the ground. She decides to check what's going on and turns around to Gilgamesh tossing those books to the ground.]

Excuse me, but what do you think you're doing?

[ Oh, that will draw a familiar cackle from him. ]

Why would I ever pay for something I already own?

Getting rid of worthless texts. Is there a problem?

[ No, seriously. Tell him he's doing something wrong so he can have his first argument as owner. Yes, he will lay down the laws like a boss. ]

You do not own this store. Now cease with this madness before I am forced to... [ Taking in a deep breath. ] ... call the police.

[ Just strutting on by all fine and dandy until a book smacks her over the head.

Now she's crumpled on the sidewalk in front of him. ]

Oh, hi Gilgamesh. Are you buying these books?

But I do. I gave the previous owner a briefcase of gold, he let out some weird mongrel noise and gave me the keys and ran off. Look, he even signed these papers.

[ Yes, he's shoving them at her now. And then going right back to sorting through books. ]

[ Oh, fine. He'll just poke his head out from between the bookshelves just to annoy her for a second. ]

Hey, you. Get rid of these books.

No, woman. I'm getting rid of them.

Worthless? No book is worthless!

[She looks at him aghast and goes to the pile, skimming through one of the books.]

These books are in fine quality. How are they worthless?

Why? They look like they're in good enough condition to me.

[ Siiiigh. Is he really going to have to explain his logic to some mongrel? So be it. ]

Seeing how I am the owner of this store, I get to say what is up for sell and what is merely trash. All these books speak of things I refuse to acknowledge, so they are worthless to me and all of humanity. Simple as that.

[ Seriously, who the hell wants to read about vampires, ghosts, werewolves and gods that aren't from his time? Geez. ]

Then take them for yourself. They are worthless and unsellable. [ Well, to him at least. ]

[How about the one person who loves them? She spots a particular book, a folklore anthology of sorts, and pulls it out. She glares at him before she's suddenly in his face.]

I don't care if you are the owner of this store. You do NOT toss out any books based on YOUR preferences! Your responsibility is to cater to your customers' needs! You have no right to decide what they can or cannot read!

[Devola's in front of the store, nosing through the Pile of Mongrel Texts for titles she recognizes as "not in-stock at the Library." She'll pick one up before walking in.]

So. Is this some kinda clearance sale?

[No reason to let them go to waste, right?]

*Oh no you aren't. Albedo is striding into the bookstore for his shift, but not before stopping to pick up a copy of Hamlet from one of those piles. And boy does he look ticked.*
