[ If you happen to decide to visit the bookstore today (or, you know, you work here), you'll notice there is a fairly large amount of books laying in front of the store, as if they were tossed out with little care. We're talking piles of books, guys. You can probably take them if you want, because it doesn't seem anyone is actually paying attention to what the hell is going on. Just be careful if you walk into the store, because you may or may not be pelted with even more books. Why? Because Gilgamesh. Do we really need to say more? He's been busy going through literally every book in the store, and discarding any he finds offensive. You can already tell where this is going, right?

Gilgamesh. In the bookstore. Disposing of books. While wearing this. Yes, your worst nightmares have come true. Gilgamesh is the new owner of this fine establishment, much to the horror of two certain servants who just so happen to work here part-time. How will they react? How will you react? [She was in the bookstore, hoping to get an idea for gifts. Although it's hard to do that when there's the sound of books being thrown to the ground. She decides to check what's going on and turns around to Gilgamesh tossing those books to the ground.]

[Devola's in front of the store, nosing through the Pile of Mongrel Texts for titles she recognizes as "not in-stock at the Library." She'll pick one up before walking in.]

*Oh no you aren't. Albedo is striding into the bookstore for his shift, but not before stopping to pick up a copy of Hamlet from one of those piles. And boy does he look ticked.*

[So the previous owner rudely did certain things owners of bookstores do, such as order more books. Miki, working at one of the local delivery places, was tasked with delivering it. She walking into the bookstore, seeming somewhat spaced out but still managing to dodge any books that come flying her direction, and walks up to whatever looks like the front desk and plopping the somewhat large and heavy package down loudly on it.]

[ This all too handsome douchebag devil is probably not the guy she was expecting to answer the call! But he'll just be sliding over to the front counter, because he's pretty much done with his renovations. For now. ]

[What better to do in a new place than to wander around and acclimate oneself to their new surroundings? Seemed like a good enough idea for Beatrice. That is until she came upon the horrific pigsty that was once a bookstore...possibly? Always the curious one, she'd wander in to find her old pal Gilgamesh in the midst of it. Of course.]

My, my, we do get our freak storms in this place, don't we? It certainly looks like a tornado touched down in this place. Or should I just assume disaster follows you around, king of brats~?

Well, well, well. If it isn't the Kashshaptu.

[ Books scattered every, broken shelves, ripped up pages. Yeah, this is hardly a bookstore anymore. More of a battle ground. ]

I've just been doing a little re-modeling. You should have seen how dreadfully boring this place was before I got here.

Of course, Gil is still preoccupied with... well, he's not so much throwing things now as he is picking them back up. But only very few compared to what is actually on the ground. ]

[ He comes by the book store, and.. well, that pile of books outside isn't supposed to just lie around outside, right? He's pretty sure of that, so he curiously stands next to the pile of books, peering down at them as if then the answer as to why they are lying outside might dawn upon him.

... Then a book is flung out of the store, and only misses his head by an inch. (A-rank luck ftw.)

..... Yes, definitely taking a step to the side now to avoid further potential book hits, but after a few moments he curiously peers into the store, seeming as pokerfaced as ever. ]

[ And then he'll find the store nearly half empty as it should be, with Gilgamesh continuing to thumb through various novels and toss out whatever fails to meet whatever requirement he has apparently set for the quality of books being sold here. Of course, his timing couldn't be any worse. ]

So we meet again, slanderous book of lies. Ripping off the very texts of my beloved culture and claiming them to be the truth. Might as well add it to the pile.

[Oh hey, it's that guy he saw at the casino from time to time. He easily catch a book thrown at his head, looking at it (MacBeth, by the way) then into the bookstore.]

If you're like any of the other mongrels that have complained today, probably not.

[ Especially considering how the store looks like a ghost town for books at this point. There's maybe a hundred or two hundred books left. Yup. ]

Finally calmed down enough.

[Now that his job application has finally gone through, Edgeworth figures that it would be good for him to buy books about Prospero's laws and legal procedures for his own reference. As such, he looks up a bookstore and heads there -- only to be confused at the sight that greets him.]

[ Considering how late in the day it is by this point, the place is actually look much better than it did a few hours prior. The books that are left on the shelves are arranged as they should be, while the 'unwanted' books lie in proper boxes set outside the door. He hadn't wanted to, but he can never really say no to his object of desire, can he?

Meanwhile, Gilgamesh happens to be behind the desk... not exactly looking in the best shape. There's a large cut running across his cheek, his hair is pretty messy, and we won't even mention the bruises. It looks even stranger considering he's actually reading something. Probably something to do with his own past. He really isn't even going to bother looking up at whoever entered when he responds. ]

No. The books outside are free to take. The rest in here are for sale as usual.
