On a subject not related to Diarmuid-nii.

What holidays do you have at home? There's talk of Christmas here, of course, but I realize that not everyone may have a similar holiday in their world. I'd love to hear more about different cultures and religions - it's one of my greatest areas of interest.

Also, should we have a Christmas party, assuming that circumstances allow it?

A fair amount of the symbolism appears to be the same--the sight of holly and mistletoe was hardly uncommon around the solstice back home.

[A laugh.]

It was a sacred plant among druids and used as a sort of protective ward against poisons, evil spirits, and said to have healing properties.

In fact, even enemies meeting below mistletoe would immediately lay down their weaponry and declare a temporary truce. I assume that is where such a tradition came from, logically.

I know it will be incredibly difficult, but please refrain from kissing Sola.

So it's become tradition to kiss under mistletoe now? I'll have to try and keep away from it.

Let me rephrase that.

'I'll have to try and keep away from it if Sola gets her hands on any.'

I don't need her to have a reason to chase me around in circles, at any rate.
croibhristeoir: (could i get back to you)

Considering running cross-country is essentially what made me famous, I'm sure I could outrun anyone in this city if necessary.

Yes, I absolutely agree with you there.

Please don't tempt fate, deartháir. For all we know, it will be.
