tvk | 10: More Gifting Giving -action-

[So is everyone getting tired of cookies yet? Well, Saori's made more for everyone. There's a small bag filled with checkerboard cookies and a personalized gingerbread person placed on everyone's doorstep in the hotel and also a few were sent to the those living in the school dorms. Each one has a handwritten note saying "Merry Christmas --Saori". Of course there are few extra gifts that need to be given:

For April: a copy of Katamari Damacy. There's a note saying, "I thought you'd like something fun and much brighter than Fatal Frame."

For ~~Papa Bird~~ Klaus: A waffle iron and an eye patch. That note says "Thank you for all your support and the waffles. Feel free to modify the iron to your liking."

For ~~Mama Bird~~ Ingrid: A green scarf with silver trimmings. Her note: "Thank you for everything you've done to help me."

For Miki: A large stock pot for cooking some ramen in along with a few ingredients. "To my friend who always helps me out no matter what."

For Devola: An anthology of Japanese folktales. She's already donated a few books to the library, but this one's a bit more personal. "I've read these stories since I was little and thought I'd like to pass them over to you."

For Allen: A black hat with cat ears. The note says "The kitty doughnuts you bought gave me the idea. You're like a little brother to me."

And of course, she's going to spoil her boyfriend, Kaiji: a new bicycle and a six pack of higher quality beer. "Thank you for everything you've done for me. Here's to us and our new lives."

Feel free to catch her placing the gifts at your door or around the hotel since school is on winter break or send her a message. Chances are you'll find her in the kitchen too.]

Miss Saori?

[He looks at his gifts, then back at her.]

Oh, hello, Allen. How do you like your gifts? It's not much, but I wanted to give a little more than just the cookies.

I like them very much! They're quite cute. [Putting the hat on his head.] How do I look?

[She's trying her best to not squeal at how adorable it looks.]

It looks wonderful on you! I'm so glad it fits you.

I'm going to try and wear it as much as possible. [ALLEN WALKER SMILE FOR YOU.] Thank you for the present.

[BEER AND A BIKE. SAORI IS BEST GIRLFRIEND. He feels kind of bad though, since he couldn't get anything so expensive or impressive. After bringing his stuff inside, Saori's door will be knocked on.]

[She opens the door and smiles when she sees who's there.]

Hey there. I take it you found your gift?

[He grins, and gives her a quick kiss ion the cheek, and one-armed hug. He's obviously hiding a gift behind his back.]

Sure did. Thanks so much, it's awesome.

Well, I had a little help. I'm so glad you like it.

[She highly doubt that he'd believe that Miki of all people suggested a bike for him. Oh well. What he doesn't know won't hurt him. She does notice he is hiding something.]

What are you hiding there?

[He hands her the gift now, which he got help wrapping with from April. It's a good thing since he can't wrap gifts to save his life. It's a small box, and he gives her a sheepish grin when he hands it over.]

Here. Merry Christmas. Though I feel kinda bad since it's pretty tiny compared to the bike.

[Saori giggles and kisses him on the cheek after recieving the box.]

It's not about how big the gift is, silly, so don't worry about it.

[She carefully takes off the wrapping and opens it.]

[Inside the box is a lovely little Japanese teapot (http://www.rishi-tea.com/store/images/d_815.jpg) and two matching cups.]

So, um, you like it?

[Her face brightens at the present. She places the box down on the nearby table so she give him a kiss.]

Oh, Kaiji. It's beautiful! Thank you!

So it's good? [He looks relived.] I'm glad. Gift shopping is tough.

[Miki is obviously pleased with the gift, but she does look a little embarrassed.]

What! You didn't have to do this, Saori!

Don't be ridiculous, Miki. This is the very least I could after everything you've done for me.

[And now have a hug just because.]

[Miki hugs back, probably a little bit tighter than Saori is comfortable with. She seems very excited.]

It's too much! How about I make a large pot for you and everyone for new years? I'll have to try and find some soba.

[Fortunately training during the Dark Hour has made her stronger but still not enough. Ow her spine. She still manages to laugh.]

Soba? That's right, we got to have soba at New Year's. That should be easy to get compared to the other traditional foods we're supposed to have.

It's easy to make if I can't find it. I assure you on my name as an Onimaru that you will have Soba for New Years!

[She finds the girl in the kitchen, scarf wrapped around her neck.]

Saori, my dear, this is so lovely.

[She's in the middle getting various pots and pans sorted. Saori turns around and smiles at the sound of Ingrid's voice.]

I'm so glad you like it, Ingrid!

I do. It was sweet of you to think of me.

It's honestly the very least I can do for everything you've done for me. If there's anything I can do for you, please let me know!

Oh now, hush. You don't need to do anything for me; I'm don't do what I do with you expecting anything in return.
