[So Madoka thinks she's got the gist of this 'Dark Hour' thing, and with others already ahead of her in the leveling game, she needs to start catching up or else they'll always be helping her when she wants to help them.

Which is why you'll probably see her going after small shadows during the Dark Hour tonight. She's being really careful to avoid groups or ones that might run off to stronger shadows, but that means she's spending a lot of energy to pick and choose her targets as she moves through the streets.

After taking out another shadow with what appears to be a curtain rod (it was the first sturdy object she could find and she figured she could use it like a spear), she wipes the sweat from her brow and lets out a sigh...]

Maybe I should have asked someone to power level me, instead... Still, no way I'm going to stay as the weakest of my family around here!

[She emphasizes this point with a clenched fist of determination and looks around for her next target.]

[Madoka is still not really use to all these magical creature things, so she's kinda just staring through the whole spiel... She suddenly snaps out of it though.]

[Ignoring the nickname, she points out a Shadow in the distance.]

Right! What about that one?

Yeah, that one looks good! Give it a good whack!

[And a good whack with the curtain is what she does!

...Or tries to. Turns out that this Change Relic has a pretty good evasion stat!]

GAH! Hold still!

I'm trying, but this thing is a lot harder to hit than I thought! How can a stupid statue move so fast?!

Sorry, I don't really have any spells to make you faster...

[Oh no! Not only did the last attack miss, but caused Madoka to trip and fall flat on her face. Might want to do something there Sakurako before the Change Relic hits back.]

Whoa! Be careful!

[Sakurako summons up her Persona.]

[A blast of wind issues forth, buffeting the Shadow back a bit.]

[Other than the pushing back by the wind, it doesn't seem the attack did much else to that Shadow. But Madoka doesn't seem to notice this as she is getting back on her feet.]

Okay that was embarrassing... I'm okay though, thanks. Maybe I should actually wait for a good moment to hit it?

Yeah, it's important to time your blows!

[Madoka concentrates, waiting for just the right moment and then! SWISH!]

That was a perfectly time swing! I'm starting to think this thing is cheating!!

Keep trying! I've already buffed you all I can!

...But maybe you could hit it with something to slow it down?

Uh... I guess I can try.

[She pulls out her lacrosse stick, starting to lob bocce balls in the Shadow's general direction.]

[kugimin]

[That seems to do some damage, but not enough, and now it looks mad!]

Um, do spells have better accuracy? Maybe another spell will take it out?

I only really have the one, though, and it didn't do much the last time.

[kugimin]

Wait, what? That last one was an attack spell? But if we can't hit it hard enough and spells don't work, what are we going to do?!

Usually this is where your Persona comes out and helps. Maybe yours is a heavy sleeper.

[kugimin]

[Madoka is starting to feel a little panicked, and the Change Relic is seeming to get ready for an attack...]

I don't know! I'm not sure how to wake it up! Do I say a chant? Make a gesture? Pray?! Ask real nicely?!

Try yelling out 'PERSONA!' That's how it happened for me.

Okay!

[Nope, nothing.]

[Some wind blowing still says nothing is happening.]

Why isn't this working?!

[The panicking might not be helping, but that's kinda hard to realize when you're, you know, panicking.]

Ummm, ummm... try concentrating, you know, like a wizard or something! Close your eyes and hold out your hand and act all dramatic about it!

[kugimin]

But that thing is attacking us! How am I suppose to concentrate when I'm worried I'm going to get hit!

Okay, okay, I'll try! But if I get hurt, you better be ready to drag me out of here!

[Madoka stands still and tries to concentrate, focusing on just the idea of "persona" in the hopes that this will work...

Of course, the Shadow isn't really going to wait for her to do this and is about to hit her when his eyes snap open.]
