[So Madoka thinks she's got the gist of this 'Dark Hour' thing, and with others already ahead of her in the leveling game, she needs to start catching up or else they'll always be helping her when she wants to help them.

Which is why you'll probably see her going after small shadows during the Dark Hour tonight. She's being really careful to avoid groups or ones that might run off to stronger shadows, but that means she's spending a lot of energy to pick and choose her targets as she moves through the streets.

After taking out another shadow with what appears to be a curtain rod (it was the first sturdy object she could find and she figured she could use it like a spear), she wipes the sweat from her brow and lets out a sigh...]

Maybe I should have asked someone to power level me, instead... Still, no way I'm going to stay as the weakest of my family around here!

[She emphasizes this point with a clenched fist of determination and looks around for her next target.]

Whoa! Nee-chan, what are you doing out here alone?

[Sakurako and her Persona are hanging out fighting some Shadows, but she knows Madoka doesn't have one yet. Little sis, whyyyy~ ;u;]

GAH!

[Madoka was not expecting to run into anyone while she went after the low levels, so she was a bit startled, but she collects herself when she sees it Sakurako.]

I'm, um...just going after some small ones to level up, you know? I didn't want to bug anybody to get me caught up, and I'm being really cautious to avoid anything that looks like trouble.

You know, I can help you out! I'll aggro one, and then you can hit it!

That's fine if you really want to. I kinda feel like one of those RPG characters that come in late in the game and I don't want to be a burden because I'm not at the same level as everyone else...

Just promise we'll be careful, I don't want a repeat of a couple of days ago, you know?

Let's find some that are weak to wind. That's what my Persona uses.

[Getting a second wind, Madoka boldly turns the corner to see what enemies they have to pick from!]

[Sakurako trails along after Madoka.]

Hey, you want a buff before we go?

[kugimin]

Eh? What kind of buff do you mean?

Attack power up!

Okay then! That'll probably help out a lot!

[Miki is also out during the dark hour, and has unfortunately gathers a group of the physically immune Visceral Mayas behind her. She is running away from them towards Madoka as quickly as she can.]

[kugimin]

[Madoka hears the commotion and looks to see Sakurako's not!mom running away from a lot of shadows. Wait, wasn't she the one pulverizing a bunch of shadows a day or two ago? And she's running from these ones. Oh crap, better get out of her and quick!

...But she can't just abandon either, and this conflict has Madoka stuck in place boggling over the incoming danger. If she doesn't snap out of it soon, she might be stuck running alongside Miki soon...]

[Well Madoka better snap out of it soon because Miki doesn't seem to notice her, and if she doesn't move Miki's gonna run straight into her!]

[kugimin]

[Madoka snaps out of it. Sort of. She at least avoids being run over by Miki, of course she realizes almost at the same instant that means she should start running too. Which she does. Hey, guess trying to keep up with you now, Miki!]

Just what did you do to get so many to chase you to being with?!

[assaultedramen]

[Miki's pretty fash, though now all she has to do is outrun Madoka!]

Wha- Oh well it seems that they ones that can't be hit still get mad when you try to hit them.

[kugimin]

Well, then how do we stop them?! They don't seem to going away and all I can do is hit things!

[assaultedramen]

Don't you have one of those persona thingys?

[kugimin]

What?! No! Not yet! That's why I was going after the smaller ones by themselves!

[They are so screwed.]

[assaultedramen]

Well you had better learn fast or know how to climb!

[With relative east Miki jumps off onto the top of a car (setting off the alarm), rebounds and dives out towards the ledge of a nearby one story building, grabbing on before hauling herself up to the roof.]

[kugimin]

[Madoka watches this in utter astonishment before commenting:]

Oh COME ON!! I can't do that!

You could have at least offer me a hand up there or something!!

[Madoka would have stayed to shout some more, but there's still shadows following, so standing still is not a good idea. Not at all. Back to running!]

[assaultedramen]

[Miki shouts back to Madoka.]

If you wanna come up here I'll try and pull you up!

What are you babbling about?

[ A ginormous man is smashing through shadows with a sword, his face flushed with exertion. ]

[kugimin]

[Oh man, some one was there the whole time? Madoka tries to act like she's not feeling pretty stupid for talking to herself out loud like that as she keeps an eye out for another target or to avoid the stronger shadows.]

Er, I was just mostly thinking out loud. You don't have to worry about it, really...
