[Lion's been fidgeting with this...phone thing for a while now, and finally manages to broadcast his voice—he hasn't figured out the video feature yet because hey he's from the 80's okay and technology.]

Hello? Can anyone hear me? Will...?

What…exactly is this? I’m afraid I don’t quite understand it…I don’t recognize where I am, at all. This definitely isn’t an uncharted area of Rokkenjima, and I know there are several places that I‘m unaware of in the forest… But, no…

I’m certain this is a completely different place altogether, it's far too huge. The climate is so much different, and…this place is actually quite a bit more remarkable than my island.

Besides, I doubt an entire city could fit on my home island. The thought alone is bizarre.

[He puts a hand over his mouth in thought, looking pensive and a bit troubled.]

More importantly, I believe leaving the church should have been impossible. It was...well, I can't quite explain why. Not even I understand it... In any case, I must return there as soon as possible. Someone, anyone, please tell me where exactly I am so that I can make the necessary arrangements to get back to my family.

I suppose I'll have to see that for myself, then. And if it's dangerous I'll have to be careful as well. Though I'd rather not deal with something like that at all...

Even if you don't go out, you'll know when it happens. You should stay inside though, unless you have a way to protect yourself. These things... they're called Shadows, but they're like monsters.

Are those monsters--Shadows--unable to come inside?

I don't know if it's that, but it could be because there are people who fight them regularly and keeping them back. I haven't heard of one come into the hotel though.

Where is this hotel you spoke of? If I'm going to be here for an extended period of time, I'll need a place to stay.

I'm not inside at the moment. But I believe I'm in a sort of shopping area--I've come across a few clothing stores.

[ Ah- ] You could be. I have an idea... can you read any of the shop names? If you want, I could come and meet you- and then take you to the hotel.

The one I'm near now is called "Felix's Finds," if you know where that is. And yes, please do. The help would be appreciated.

Felix's Finds - I know the way there. [ And if Lion listened close enough, he could hear the sounds of movement, steps; a closing being opened and then closed. ]

People go there for their weapons. If you stay there, I shouldn't be more than five minutes.

[Lion hums in thought.]

I won't move, don't worry.

[He looks around for anyone who might be approaching him while waiting--he's not sure what this person looks like so that makes it a bit difficult.]

[ As he moves, he decides to explain about the shop as well. ]

That's right. Collection of anything, it seems. To anyone looking for something to use when going against the Shadows, his shop is the one you're told of.

[ He's on the path towards the shop, when now he begins to keep a better eye on to people who would be standing still - or walking around - the shop he approaches. ] He doesn't know anything, but this has been going on for years, people arriving on this island, and he seems to understand that we need them for something, but I haven't spoken to him much about it.

That sounds very useful. Now I know where to go if I ever have to face those Shadows.

[And looking around. He sees someone approaching--but oh right he has no idea what this person looks like and the other person is in the same boat most likely. He doesn't even know his name--oh. He adds something as an afterthought, sounding a little embarrassed.]

...Forgive me, but introductions slipped my mind. My name is Ushiromiya Lion. You are?

Hinasaki Mafuyu. [ Introducing himself in that order makes him smile a bit; it isn't often he can, or thinks to, use the Japanese order. But that does make him wonder what kind of man to look out for- though a man with blond hair isn't on his guess list.

Which is a shame, since when that's the only person he sees coming up on the path he's on just a little far off, he stops in his foot steps and looks around, wondering if he misheard Lion. Maybe he's across from Felix's Finds...? ]

Could you give me a description of yourself? Or maybe you can see me- black hair, a white shirt and black trousers.

[Lion pauses.]

I'm wearing a red suit--and I have blond hair.

[He looks around again and--ah.]

I think I've spotted you. [And he raises his hand to wave at the person that matches the description.]

Oh?

[ But he looks forward, then seeing that person in the red suit and blond hair waving towards him. He's surprised to find that to be the person, but he waves back and starts to walk over to him, putting the phone down to his side. ]

Ushiromiya Lion?

[Lion also puts his phone down and smiles with a nod.]

Yes, I am. I see I was right in guessing you must be Hinasaki Mafuyu, then. It's nice to meet you in person.

[ He nods back. ] You too. It's good to see you look fine. [ a pause ] You are, right?

[Lion pauses at that--he didn't think to check.]

I certainly hope so--I feel fine, at least.

[ Well, Mafuyu smiles a little at least. ]

Alright. Either way, finding a room at the hotel and then getting something to eat should make you feel better.

[ He takes a side step back. ] You didn't want to go anywhere else first, did you? I'm not too familiar, but I've been going around here enough to know some places.

Yes, it would be reassuring.

...However, perhaps getting to know more about this place is also a wise course of action. What are the places you're familiar with?

The phone is good to keep hold of. [ He holds up his own for a moment. ] People use it regularly to talk out to everyone, so if you want to get to know people, that and talking to people at the hotel are the two best ways.

Felix's Finds is good to know, too. [ And he points it out ] That shop there - but that's because of what I told you before, though I don't know if I could encourage you going straight into that...

I won't be letting go of it anytime soon, then.

[He looks towards the shop.]

Oh, that's--the weapons shop, was it? Let's hope I won't need to go there for a while.
