[ The feed shows a smug Archer, and in the background a bandaged Saber can be seen. ]

You know, I think I know quite a bit about swords. I've fought with them for my whole life. I've studied them time and time again. I've seen beautiful works of steel, but for some reason I think this Saber of flesh and blood is more beautiful than all of them. What do you all think?

Ungh... [ As though on cue, a voice familiar to those on the network gives out a pained groan. ] What happened?

[ Archer chuckles, setting the device to the side. He doesn't seem to have realized that he has failed to turn it off. ]

Oh? You're finally coming to your senses? You should have known better going out with those injuries.

Injuries? [ Suddenly the King of Knights sounds a lot more indignant. ] How did you discover them?

You are covered in bandages. [ He scoffs. ] It would not take a genius to find them.

A genius or a man who knows not how to keep his hands to himself? [ Quite the accusing tone she takes, but it matters little when she reaches over for the phone he's placed down. ] Or in this situation, a man who lacks the skill to turn off a phone.

Hm? [ He glances at the phone. ] How annoying. I could have sworn i had turned it off.

Need I remind you of your own failures in other tasks? [ Suddenly there's one very groggy Saber staring down the lens of the phone. ] Everyone, this man is another Servant like the rest of us and no, he is not available for a battle tonight.

You would chastise me so quickly? [ He seems inquisitve. ] And even speak for me?

Both tasks completed with ease. [ With that, she gives a nod. ] I suppose the lot of you would enjoy speaking to the newcomer, no? Very well, let us hear it. Be brief, for I have many things to discuss with him.

[ It'd be rude to neglect her savior of the day as she tosses the phone on the bed beside her, moving to try to climb out of the bed herself. ]

Rest. [He gently puts her hand on her shoulder. Her bandages give testament to her injuries. Her actions do not need to give a further testament.] If it would teach them a lesson then I would gladly accept it.

Easily she allows him to push her back down on the bed and not once does she sigh in aggravation. ]

I would not think you afraid of him. [No matter what, he knew Saber would meet no foe with hesitation. That is what worries him.] However that does not mean you have to meet him in combat.

[ In before 'lived'... ]

Yet here you are with me. [That smugness will simply not die.] If he truly cares for you, then why did he let you out in such a state?

I do believe you said knights, as in the plural. At any rate none of them were with you. If they have a qualm about me saving you then they obviously have a problem.

The him I speak of is Gilgamesh. [ Yes, she did just fess up to living with Goldie. What now? ] Besides, I miss my cubs.

Then I'll have to find a new place for you to stay. Such a location is ill suited for one like yourself. [Read: Archer is stopping himself from running off and killing Gilgamesh.] I am sure that I could obtain your cubs. Are they kittens?

[ Withdrawing her own phone, she'll fiddle with it for a bit before holding it up. Yes, that's a photo of Saber with two lion cubs. Real lion cubs. ]

One belongs to Gilgamesh though. It would be improper to take what belongs to him.

They're cute. They suit you well. [A rare, genuine smile that lasts only for a moment.] That man thinks everything belongs to him. He could obtain a new one if he was that worried.

[ A light choke as she quickly fumbles to shove the phone under the pillow. ]

B-but he is the one who acquired them in the first place! It would be unsettling to separate siblings!

[He chuckles.] I saw them. They were happy with you. If he would be so cruel as to separate both of them from you then he can't be helped. I won't put his wishes over your own.

... Then can they not stay with him instead of with--wait just a moment, did you imply that the two of us will live together!? Are you not being forward and besides, you have just arrived here!

I didn't say that you would stay with me, just that you couldn't stay with him. But if you're so eager to stay with me then I guess I can't refuse.

[ Why can't he just be a good and wimpy Shirou like the Shirou she looooves? ]

[Because twenty or so years of ideal betrayl. That's why.]

That I have perfectly valid reasons for my life choices and you are not going to swoop in here on your first day and work to change them.

[He moves to stand in front of the door.]

Then you are free to leave whenever you can budge me from my post of protecting you.

[ It is so on. ]

Archer, you will remove yourself from my path before I am forced to do so myself.

[ Says the girl barely over five feet. ]

Then come at me. If you prove yourself above your protection then you may walk free. [He has no problem challenging Saber in her state. He knows she won't respond, and if she does then she can be defeated in a way that will not wound her further. Archer simply can't lose.]

[ ... ]

Then I will stay with you for the eve and only until morning. Understood?
