[ And true to his word, anyone who bothers to visit the Tavern tonight will be greeted by a crazy yet happily merry atmosphere. There's people singing, dancing, getting their booze on. Possible shoutings of CHUG CHUG CHUG and whatever else you would expect to find at the best night of drinking ever. For now, The King of Crunk has pulled himself away from the crowd and is chilling at the bar. Totally eating peanuts and sipping on his likely 30th pitcher by now. HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH A DRUNKEN KING? That's entirely up to you. ]

Well, I suppose that's something you're just going to have to find out all on your own, isn't it~?

[ A slight cackle escapes, only pausing long enough to flag down one of the bar maids. ]

Another bottle, wench. ...No, make it two.

And I do suppose that's something to look forward to.

[ Soon enough, he'll be in possession of two bottles of wine. Perhaps not the highest quality in the world, but surely the best obtainable in Nowhere, USA. He'll pop them both and slide one to her side before simply drinking out of his. What is dignity? ]

Of course. You tend to build up a tolerance when you drink nearly every day. Not to the point of becoming an ape, but you know.

And I shall never have any regrets. Especially not from drinking.

[How polite. At least he thought to get one for her. Dainty as she is, she'll give herself another half cup to work on.]

I don't drink nearly as often, but I don't have a light constitution by any means.

[ That will cause him to stop himself mid drink, putting down for at least a moment or two. At least, enough time for him to say something so utter ridiculous that it actually sounded.... normal? ]

I fear it's a little too late into the night for that. But, perhaps... You know of Shakespeare, yes? And of his little supposed 'masquerade ball' that is occurring next Friday? I wonder if a witch would even be interested in such a thing.

[She studied him a moment or two. Was he really about to ask what she thought he was asking?]

Yes, I know of him and of the masquerade.

A witch might be inclined to attend such a thing if asked by the correct person. You never know.~

[ Just the answer he was looking for. Ah, but there might be prying ears, and this was rather something he would rather keep a surprise. Or rather, that's what he thought was a good idea at the moment, anyways. So he'll wordlessly pull himself away from his seat, only to slide next to her and wrap an arm around her shoulders. And he'll lean in extremely close to whisper his official invitation. Of course, once he's done, he'll pull away just enough to closely watch her reaction with an even more devilish grin on his face. ]

[Her expression would change a bit after each hushed tone. Her eyes would range from wide to a pair of discerning slits. In the end she was simply left with a darkening blush. She'd bite at her bottom lip a moment before turning to whisper her answer into his ear. If he wanted to keep it from prying company, she'd oblige, of course.]

[ Oh, we would be listening to her for a while. But soon his whims would get the better of him, his head would turn to meet hers only steal away another kiss. What permission was really needed at this point? She had accepted his invitation, that was obviously enough for him. ]

[Perhaps it was the lingering wine on his lips, but these kisses were becoming a little too intoxicating. She'd return the gesture, stolen though it may have been and upon pulling away offer him a soft sigh.]

Y...You'd best meet me there. I want to look my best, after all.~ ♥

[ Feeling rather accomplished, now would be the perfect time to make his exit. After all, it would leave her with something for her mind to turn over in her head for the rest of the night, wouldn't it? He'll shoot her another tempting smile before excusing himself. ]

Has a king ever been known to go back on his word? I'll be there. But for now, try to enjoy the rest of the night. I'm sure you'll find company here.
